Update from Pastoral Resident Mike Solis

College Church, I’m delighted to announce that I have accepted a pastoral position at Rock Hill Community Church in Duluth, Minnesota. My wife, Melissa, and I will be transitioning there soon, but before we move up north, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for these past two years of pastoral residency. When I graduated from seminary, I was very aware of how much I still had to learn about how to shepherd, teach and lead God’s people—and this residency offered an incredible opportunity to learn these things alongside wise, faithful men and women. I am grateful for the experiences I had here, from leading our Front Door Ministry to speaking at KMs retreats to teaching in HYACKs to walking with our seniors at Windsor Park through the pandemic (and so many other valuable opportunities). Even more, I am grateful for the relationships we’ve built, for your prayers and words of encouragement, and for the well-wishes you’ve expressed after I received the call to minister in Duluth. Thank you! May God bless the mission of College Church, and may his kingdom come!
