STATEMENT FROM THE CANTERBURY BANKSTOWN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE We strongly condemn this senseless and cowardly act of violence.

Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by the attack at Bondi Beach. Any act that targets innocent people and spreads fear in our community is an attack on our shared humanity.

Terrorism, in any form and for any cause, has no place in our society. Violence against civilians can never be justified. It tears at the fabric of our nation and undermines the values that bind us together.

Every holy book, every faith tradition, and every moral teaching speaks of peace, love, compassion and harmony. Those who commit acts of terror do not represent faith they betray it.

There is no room for antisemitism, or for any form of hatred, in our community. We stand firmly against prejudice and bigotry, and we proudly embrace our Jewish community, especially as Hanukkah the Festival of Lights reminds us of hope, resilience and unity in the face of darkness.

At this time, we stand united in grief, solidarity and resolve. We stand with our emergency services, and we stand together as one community against hatred, extremism and violence.

As community and business leaders, CBCC reaffirms its commitment to fostering unity, respect and social cohesion. We will continue to stand alongside all communities, promoting peace, understanding and shared responsibility for a safe and inclusive Australia.

Australia will not be divided by fear. Peace will always be stronger than terror!
