OWe are pleased to be able to attend a briefing and Q & A with the project team to find out more about the planning for the new Bankstown Hospital. Thank you to City of Canterbury Bankstown, NSW Health, NSW Government, NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Once again, CBCC proudly acknowledges and supports the development of the new Bankstown Hospital in our Central Business District. This stateof-the-art healthcare facility promises to improve health outcomes for our community and represents a significant opportunity to stimulate the local economy.

At the CBCC, we welcome the commitment to engaging and supporting local businesses through procurement and construction processes. We believe that involving local suppliers, contractors, and service providers will maximise the positive economic impact of this project, creating jobs and fostering growth within the Canterbury Bankstown area and the region in general.

We extend our full support to all stakeholders and urge them to prioritise local procurement, ensuring that the benefits of this landmark project flow directly to our community. The CBCC is committed to advocating for our local businesses throughout this process and looks forward to seeing the new Bankstown Hospital strengthen both our healthcare system and our economic foundations.

We encourage collaboration between the private sector and government in this and other projects.

MENTAL HEALTH

A D A I L Y P R I O R I T Y

Although this day serves as a vital reminder to look out for each other, it’s also important to remember that mental health should be a daily focus.

Maintaining strong mental health is essential for overall well-being.

It helps us handle life’s stresses, work productively, build strong relationships, and contribute to our communities.

Mental health is more than mental disorders: it exists on a spectrum, with each person experiencing it differently. It is a basic human right and plays a key role in personal and community growth. E

very September, R U OK day reminds us of the importance of mental health, and checking in with those around us – our family, friends, and others in our social network.

How do we start making mental health a daily focus for us and for those around us so that our community feels supported year-round?

Going Global Export Program

The NSW Government is committed to building an exporting culture in NSW and providing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the tools that help them to succeed and flourish internationally.

Establishing export markets abroad can be challenging due to issues around cost, time and lack of access to relevant market information and networks. The Going Global Export Program supports NSW SMEs to overcome these challenges so they can establish an international presence and reap the benefits of the global marketplace.

Eligible businesses will take part in a free four-to-six-month marketentry program which typically culminates in a trade mission to the chosen market to connect with buyers and international customers.
