"Respect is the foundation of humane and ethical behaviour, and mutual respect underpins good relationships" COVID-19, as we have learnt, does not discriminate on the basis of one’s situation or circumstance. While at times we may struggle to see light from within the relentless cloud that is this pandemic, it is vital that we continue to lean upon the strength of our community and our services; to work together with a far and wide mindfulness of our shared difficulties and human responses. We thank, value, and respect the work of our police, just as we thank, value and respect all who contribute to the diverse fabric of our community. Now is a time for unity, compassion, and safety - for all. Watch the video interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBwrhsJDIEY

As America, France and Canada celebrate the month dedicated to freedom, independence, and country and culture. For us, despite what July symbolises, we're bracing for another season of disruption. In today’s environment of lockdown and uncertainty for the future, our members are sharing their fears and despair about the recent lockdown that is currently extended till 16th July 2021. To build a business often requires blood, sweat and tears; it is hard to watch their livelihoods collapse from beneath them through no fault of their own. We must consider vaccination priority for high impact industries beyond health. Once again, the same sectors, including the likes of Hospitality, Clubs and Pub, Beauty and Hairdressing, places of worship and gyms – perhaps it's time to prioritise the worst affected with priority vaccinations to avoid lockdown and the economic crisis that follows. Kudo to the Federal Government for the swift introduction of JobKeeper, which did what it proposed it would. In the current lockdown, support measures do not go far enough.
We call on our members to reach out if you are struggling, the CBCC is here to support our members through the good times and especially through the lockdown.
JobKeeper should have provided better intelligence on propping up our economy. We need support measures that will be sustainable while we learn to live with COVID. Let’s use what we learn and keep the Kudo’s coming. Many of our members are in lockdown including the local club and faced with still coming up with payroll tax-deferred. I call on the state government to consider relief options for the NSW hospitality sector by with annualised claw-back with an annualised pro-rata formula. Ideally: Payroll non-payment Gaming Machine Tax relinquished for this quarter for affected quarters. In conclusion, notwithstanding all the pressure and stresses experienced by both employers and employees, we do learn a lot when we keep going and decide not to give up. We can learn that there are hidden strengths and potentials within us. We learn how to keep ourselves motivated. More importantly, we must decide not to give up, and we must learn how we can effectively convert our disappointments into success. But we cannot do it alone.

LEADERSHIP LEADERSHIP IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT SETS A CLEAR VISION AND COMMUNICATES EFFECTIVELY TO COLLEAGUES. We learn a lot when we keep going and decide not to give up. We can learn that there are hidden strengths and potentials within us. We learn how to keep ourselves motivated. More importantly, we must decide not to give up, and we must learn how we can effectively convert our disappointments into opportunities for success. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health click here.

BUSINESS PLANNING A good business plan not only helps entrepreneurs focus on the specific steps necessary for them to make business ideas succeed, but it also helps them to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. Diversification ensures that by not "putting all your eggs in one basket," you will not be creating any unwanted risk to your capital position. Remember: If you are a small business owner and feeling overwhelmed - the NSW Government provides free online resources.

WHAT TO THINK ABOUT WHEN
DESIGNING YOUR NEW WEBSITE Are you considering talking to a web designer about your next website? When you’re a small business owner, it’s important to choose a website designer carefully. It is a crucial strategic decision because a good website can bring you more business and a bad one can drive away prospective customers. Since this decision, and your website are foundational to the success of your business, selecting the right website designer is essential. Who is going to do the heavy lifting to make your website shine? Decide on a budget. When deciding on a web design budget it really is (or should be) a case of "the more you pay the more you get". Here's a starting point!
