Democracy means rule by the people. What was the will of people?

Labor ran a "change the government" campaign and now Labor have a majority government, not seen since Rudd in 2007.

This Federal Election was a real cliff hanger. We are looking forward to supporting the Prime Minister and his team, including our Patron The Hon. Jason Clare MP.

As voters we are counting on an Albanese government to play an active role in addressing the country’s present housing challenges, skilled worker shortages, wages, cost of living and more.

The Labor Government is thought to only consult with unions and labour groups. We know that the Albanese Government values business, and employer groups like Chambers of Commerce , and we hope to see increased engagements with us.

CBCC launches new Youth Programs

We believe that empowering our youth, is powering our community.

It is the mission of the Youth Committee to build our youth for the future by sharing knowledge through experience and mentorship. This fits into the bigger objectives of the CBCC to improve the prosperity of all in our community. Business Owners and employees want to work close to home and have a better work-life balance. Our youth programs will help not only the youth participants' lives, but it will continuously improve the talent pool from which businesses draw for generations to come.

By offering youth programs we are helping the next generation develop confidence, self-esteem, create a sense of identity and purpose while providing experience and career opportunities.

Youth are the foundation of our future. They deserve a chance to activate their voice in the community in a meaningful way and provide their input in the youth programs where the community support is designed to aid them.

The Youth Committee exists to represent the interests of our younger generations and provide a platform for youth to gain experience, negotiate present ideas and contribute to their community in a meaningful and impactful way.

Allows students to gain genuine industry work experience and skills to support their dreams and career choices.

You’re exactly the kind of leader we need at the 2022 Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

In the last couple of years, there has been an unprecedented strain on our services. As of tonight in Australia, there will be more families without a home or at risk of homelessness than ever before in recorded history.

Each family has their own story, their own background, and their own needs, but they have one thing in common: the need for a strong helping hand that you can offer.

On the night of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, you’ll experience a small part of what sleeping rough is like. You’ll hear shocking stories. You’ll be cold, but your heart will be warmed when you hear how much you can help.

Date: Thursday, 23 June 2022

Time: 5pm

Location: McDonald Jones Stadium (Newcastle), White Bay Cruise Terminal (Sydney), or UOW Innovation Campus (Wollongong)

If your business is in another part of New South Wales, you can still sleepout virtually from your car, backyard or couch.

The night will leave you changed… but you have the capacity and experience to change the landscape of homelessness yourself. To raise vast amounts of funds. To help end homelessness and rewrite the narrative.
