From the outset we at the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce have embraced collaboration in practice and spirit as our way of staying ahead of the competition and we have empowered our members to incorporate collaboration as part of their strategic thinking. Why it is important for businesses and organisations to put into practice collaboration? It is important because it can boost leadership confidence, encourage cooperation, and foster teamwork. Collaboration also leads to innovation, which must be at the forefront of every member of the chamber. The CBCC is here to assist and offer all members the support they need to be the leader in their field.

It was 2005 when AAA City Removalist realised the gap and need for a quality Removals service that wasn’t just affordable, but one that will provide a solution to Customers, regardless of budget, location or distance being moved. After moving a few families and offices, AAA made quick progress in growing to be one of Australia’s most recognised Removalists who understands customers' needs and how to Relocate their Furniture with Care and Consultation to ensure a smooth move. Meet Director David Amaneddine. A proud product of Stott’s College, David has always had a knack for understanding systems, analysing, finding and bridging gaps within them. When he first looked at the home and office relocation business, he quickly saw that the industry was not delivering on a basic need. Safety - from a physical, emotional and spiritual perspective. Business partners, staff and consumers have responded well to his leadership stance. Today, AAA City Removalist has relocated over 140,000 customers – both home and office. The company has a large fleet of trucks and has been growing steadily. David promotes ‘humility’ coupled with ‘ability’ which he believes invites blessings and lies at the cornerstone of all successful leaders.

On the 9th April 2022, two of our Chamber members and Corporate Partners finally tied the knot. It was a long process as this was their 3rd attempt. The day, regardless of the rain was very special as you could feel the sense of family all coming together. This wedding was a special wedding, unlike any other as it was a family one. Using a lot of different businesses from the Chamber, and even having a few long standing members as guests on the day it was a special day. Al Aseel providing the after event catering, Dream Team Events provided the photography and entertainment and various other local businesses were used for printing and providing support. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and many years of marriage to come.
That's why we are taking part in the Million Paws Walk this May! 30,000 dogs end up in an RSPCA shelter every year. That's 82 dogs every single day who have tragically been victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. We have a duty to help our community and this includes our furry friends as well. So we are walking this May to raise funds that will go towards helping these precious pups get the love and care they need before they find their fur-ever home.
You can help us fight animal cruelty! Your donation to help these pups in need would be greatly appreciated!

You’re exactly the kind of leader we need at the 2022 Vinnies CEO Sleepout. In the last couple of years, there has been an unprecedented strain on our services. As of tonight in Australia, there will be more families without a home or at risk of homelessness than ever before in recorded history. Each family has their own story, their own background, and their own needs, but they have one thing in common: the need for a strong helping hand that you can offer. On the night of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, you’ll experience a small part of what sleeping rough is like. You’ll hear shocking stories. You’ll be cold, but your heart will be warmed when you hear how much you can help.
Sign Up for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout Date: Thursday, 23 June 2022 Time: 5pm Location: McDonald Jones Stadium (Newcastle), White Bay Cruise Terminal (Sydney), or UOW Innovation Campus (Wollongong) If your business is in another part of New South Wales, you can still sleepout virtually from your car, backyard or couch. The night will leave you changed… but you have the capacity and experience to change the landscape of homelessness yourself. To raise vast amounts of funds. To help end homelessness and rewrite the narrative.

DO YOU WANT TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS? Today, if your business is not growing at least 10.0% every year, you are going backwards. Increasing costs, inflation and all of the threats, internal and external, mean that if you are not moving forward, you are dying! Of course, addressing this on-going challenge is easier said than done. So where do you start? Can you use a credible, simple method to understand your current situation and to plot the way forward? Ask yourself three simple questions: 1. How big is the market you service and supply? 2. What share do you currently have? 3. What actions can be taken to increase your marker share? The critical factor is your “market share” which is determined by these key components: A. Product. What percentage of market demand for do you have? B. Presence. Do your prospective customers know who and where you are? C. Hit rate. Out of 100 quotes or business proposals, how many turn into orders? If you have 100% of A, B & C, you will have 100% of the market. However, the world is not like that. When we critically evaluate our market position it probably looks like this. A. Product. 80 - 90% B. Presence. 5-10% C. Hit rate. 10 to 30% Based on this you have between 0.4% and 2.7% of the market or an average of 2.9%. This simple analysis leads to major “soul searching” and raises these questions: - How well do you really know your market? - Do we know who all the customers are? - Where do you start to grow your business? Answering these questions will identify gaps and opportunities. Fairclove has over 30 years of market experience. Our mission is to give enterprises simple methods to understand and grow their business. Call or email for a free conversation and free business report. Email william@faircove.com Phone 0422 908 669

Eleni Petinos
Minister for Small Business Minister for Fair Trading
MEDIA RELEASE Thursday, 7 April 2022
COMMERCIAL LANDLORD HARDSHIP FUND APPLICATIONS OPEN Commercial landlords who provided rental relief to tenants between 14 January and 13 March 2022 can now apply for grants of up to $3,000 a month per eligible property. Small Business Minister Eleni Petinos said the third tranche of the Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund would allow eligible landlords to offset the costs of providing rental assistance to tenants who experienced disruption during the Omicron wave. “Because of the disruption caused to small businesses by Omicron, we’ve extended the Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund that has already provided $14 million to nearly 2,000 businesses,” Ms Petinos said. “Eligible commercial landlords who provided support to retail and commercial tenants from 14 January to 13 March this year can now apply for grants of up to $3,000 a month for each eligible property. “Throughout the pandemic the NSW Government has responded to the evolving challenges and we will continue to provide the small business community with the necessary support.” To be eligible for a grant through the third round of the scheme, landlords with up to $5 million in total land holdings must have entered into an agreement to provide rental relief to tenants between 14 January and 13 March 2022.
The grant is equal to the value of the rental waiver provided to tenants, up to a maximum of $3000 per month, for each eligible property. For more information about the Commercial Landlord Hardship Fund and how to apply, visit www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/applycommercial-landlord-hardship-grant or call 13 77 88. Applications will close on 31 May 2022.
