The typical food in England is fish and chips. It is salty and in my opinion it is delicious so I love it. The Tomatina is on the last Wednesday of August. It takes place in Buñol, Spain. People throw tomatoes at each other. An special celebration is the Boulia Camel Race.This special day is from July 18th to 21st. It takes place in Queensland.Inthiscelebrationpeopleparticipateinacompetition and ride a camel. The endangered animal from Australia is the GouldianFinch.Theyarecolorfulbirds.Theyaresmallandtheyfeed oninsectsandseeds.Inthepasttherewere800.000butnowthere are2.500GouldianFinch.Theyareendangeredbecauseofhabitat loss.

The airport smells of strong, hot coffee, cold metal chairs, and time travelers rushing everywhere. Neon signs blink above rolling suitcases, while voices echo like whispers trapped inside a cave. People hurry past, but Mia focuses only on the gate. Her palms are sweaty and cold. Suddenly, Leo appears, holding a single red rose. Hissmileissoftandsweet,likecottoncandy.Likecloudsonasunny day.“Iwaitedallday,”hesays,hisvoicetrembling,hissmilenervous. “I came just for you,” she answers, handing him a daisy. “I’m all the noisycrowd.” Theworldgoesquietastheirhandstouchgently. Two flowers—one red, one yellow—say what their hearts cannot. They jiggle.Lovelandsrightontime.

I’m in my car, driving as fast as I can, far away from the war. My husband is with me. We’re driving to a police station. Our two daughters are there. We hid them there before the war began. We live surrounded by cracked houses, firm mountains, and afternoonsthatsmelllikepanela. Thebusisourlife. Wetakeittogo anywhere. WetakethebustoAurelio’shouse,theonlyonewithaTV. Thescreenshowsonlyshadows,butwefeeltogether.Wetakeitto FreelanceDad’splace. Hegivesusbeerifwegivehimalittlemoney. “Don’ttellyourbrothers,”hesays,withatear. Abaddeal,butagood memory. We planted an almond tree outside the school. Genaro crieswhenitblooms,becausethat’swhenthebuscrashed. Still,we tookthebusthatterribleday. Wetakeittothecapitaltostudy, but soldiers stop us. Things get strange after that. Now, I whisper to people through the fog. I try to remember who I am. But what matters with what doesn’t—maybe the town forgets me. Or maybe I forgeteverything.

Myheadwastoosleepytorealizeanything,Icouldbarelythink,just as always, I woke up from my slumber at 10:00 am, no one was home but me. My nonexistent cooking skills showed up. I was in trouble.

What was I supposed to have for breakfast? I had no cereal left, so that wasn't an option. While I was trying to figure out a solution, which didn't imply robbing, the thought of a tasty waffle, with chocolate chips, came to my mind. It seemed so delicious that I couldalmosttasteit...Suddenly,thesamewafflerandomlypopped up! I had no idea of what was going on, somehow, I made magic? "That'simpossible,"Ithought,butanotherideacametomymind,a sandwich,andasexpected,italsoappeared! That'swhenIrealizedthepowerIwasblessedwith! EveryfoodIthoughtcouldappear!

DUST

Whatwouldyoudoifonedayyouwokeupwiththepowertodestroy anything you touch? That is what I found out when trying to turn off the alarm, I accidentally destroyed it. At first, I was confused, but whenthebedbecamedustybecauseofmytouch,Ihadnodoubts.

My family came and saw everything; they were amazed. They took me to the park where I could destroy things freely. I was having fun, butsuddenlymybabysisterrantothestreet.Iheldherarm,saving herfrombeingkilledbyacar.When…OhGod…WhathaveIdone?

THETOXICLAKE

One day in a mysterious town, there were five friends: May, Maria, Sarah,Salome,andAlex.Theywereplayingbasketballwhentheball went into a lake. They went to the lake for the ball, but May accidentallyfellintothelake.Everyonewassoscaredbecausethat was the “toxic” lake. When May fell into the lake, she literally disappeared.Thelakegaveherinvisibility,butshedidn’tknowitwas temporary. She tried to get the attention of her friends, but they didn’tseeher.Shewenttoherhousebecausemaybeherdadand mom saw her, her dad and mom got scared because they heard the voice of their daughter, but didn’t see her. She was so sad because no one saw her. Finally, when it was midnight, she wasn’t invisibleanymore.Shewasvery,veryhappybecauseherdadcould seeher.

Seeing her crumble in front of my eyes made me want to vomit. I gaspedinhorrorastheunmanageabletearsbegantofall.Myfamily triedtoconsoleme,buttheydidnotknowthatIkilledher.

…I decided to do something for her: I touched myself, turning into dust.

Nevertheless,there’salsoaplacefornegativeaspects,suchasfake news, addiction or cyberbullying. In fact, 53,2 % of teenagers have experienced these. Also, social media can be very harmful when givenatayoungage,asitrequirestheresponsibilitymanykidsdon't haveyet.

In conclusion, social media can be both positive (communication) and negative (cyberbullying). Therefore, it must be used with responsibilityandregulationofteenagersandparents.

The pros and cons depend on what use you give them. Teenagers usually use social media to feel connected, text with others, and be part of groups, and it could be helpful for receiving feedback. Furthermore, social media in our times is the fastest way to notice what is happening and to receive information. While we are using social media, it could show us negative things, damage our selfesteembyshowingusthingsthatmaybewecouldneverdo,andit’s alarmingthetimeteenagersspendusingsocialmediaapps.

As I said at the beginning, it depends a lot on the use we give them, andweshouldcontrolourselvesandusetheminamoderatedway.In my opinion, social media is required, and it is a way to express yourself.

Socialmediahasbecomeapopularthingthisyear,especiallyamong teenagers, where you can connect with other people even if they're fromanothercountry,findfunnyvideos,anddoalmosteverything.It's veryhelpful,butisitgoodforteenagerstouseitallthetime?

Teenagers often have homework related to investigation on the internet,ortheyhavetostudyforaworkshop,sotheycansearchfor educationalthingsonsocialmedia;theycanlearnabouttechnology thatwillhelpinthefuture,andtheycanalsostayup-to-datewiththe newthingsthathappenaroundtheworld.

Ontheotherhand,itsextendedusemightbebad.Therearesituations where a teenager gets depression, anxiety, or mental problems becauseofsocialmedia.Teenagersalsospendalltheirdayonsocial mediaanddon'tcommunicatewithfamilyorfriends.Insocialmedia there are also situations of cyberbullying, which lead to self-harm or worse.

In conclusion, there should be a good use of social media; parents shouldmakeatimelimitfortheirkidssoit'susedtherightway.

WhyEmpathyIsImportantinFriendship

Empathyisthewayhumansunderstandeachother.Itshowsushow others see the world, letting us know what is happening with them. It allowsustofeelwhatothersfeelbecauseitisakindofforumsowe can change ideas and understand ourselves better. For example, when someone is sad, we know that because we stay with that person,andweunderstandhim/herbecausewehaveempathy.

When we understand other people's vision, we can avoid trouble because we easily understand the other person ' s opinion. Another example:whensomeoneissad,weunderstandher/himbecausewe trytoseethroughhis/hereyesandhis/hermind.Itmakestheperson feel safer because he/she knows that someone understands his/her pointofview.

After all, empathy is good because it lets us understand others with ease.Itpromotesdifferentkindsofideasandunderstandingofothers' visions.

WhyEmpathyIsImportantInFriendship

Empathyisimportantinfriendshipandineveryrelationshipbecause by putting yourself in the other person ' s state of being, you can understandthemandhelpthem,justlikeinthefutureyouwouldlike tobehelpedandunderstood.

Puttingyourselfinanotherperson'sshoesissomethingsignificantfor thepersonyouaretryingtoempathizewith;furthermore,youwillfeel greatforhelpingthem.Suchasknowingafriendissadandtryingto make her day! At the end, both will feel great. Empathy is also important because it gives you another perspective on things, and therefore you can reassure or correct your point of view about something.

That'swhyempathyisthebestkeyforagreatrelationship.Itcreates trust, mutual help, respect, care, and confidence. A perfect example would be to listen, understand, and advise someone. That is why I thinkempathyiskeyinarelationship.

Sometimes, when we disagree, we prefer to fight over changing our minds, but with Empathy, you could be able to understand different opinionswithoutfighting.

Empathyiscrucialtomakepeoplefeelbetteraroundus.Empathycan makethemfeelliketheycansharetheirexperienceswithus,andfeel morecomfortable.

I had to lose everything even myself to truly be happy. I was seventeenbackthen.Irememberconstantlyfightingwithmymother.I hated her. “You’re the worst,” I told her. “How can you say that?” she replied.“Youhaveeverythingyouwantandneed ahouse,aschool,a plateoffoodeveryday.”ButIwasn’tgrateful.Icouldn’tseehowluckyI was.ThenthethingIwassecretlyafraidofhappened.Myparentshad aflighttoNewYorkthatday.Itwasraining.Theyleftintheircar.Afew hourslater,myuncleJohncalled.Hetoldmetheyweregone.Justlike that, at seventeen, I lost everything. Whenmysonwasborn,Iwasatwork,soLucyhadthebabyalone,and it was too late to apologize. I started spending less time at home. One day, I got home and called Lucy, and realized she had left. From thatdayon,Ihadnothingtospendmymoneyon,andstartedbuying for myself, going to places, etc., but I always ended up saying: “Table forone,please.”

"We'resosorry,butyoursonhasdied,"itwasnotthedoctorwhosaidit, but the hospital's guard to the boy's father. Of course, it was the most expensive hospital. Earlier that morning, the boy and his father had agreed to ask for money at the traffic light on the main street, where the accident happened, and that was the nearest hospital. The guards had been instructedtodenyentrytothosepoorindividualsbecausetheyknew they didn't have enough money. Now, they all have blood on their hands,butitdoesn'tmattertothembecausetheycanwashitoffwith alltheirmoney.Theonlyonewhowillsufferisthefather.

I could never imagine how my life went downhill that year. Crowded factories closed their doors, cutting the thin string that held my opportunitiestosurvive.Bringingtheneededmealtomeandmaybe being loved, fluffy companions began to be less and less usual: My dearLilycouldn'tstanditanymoreifsheleftmeforahappierlifeinthe clouds.Withmyheartbroken,Istilltry.Moreeffort,worseresults,more failure.Itmakesmewonder:isitwrongtoaskforhelpinhissituation? OscarandJacobmetin3rdgrade.Theywenttothesameschooland livedneareachotherinalow-statuszoneandobviouslybecamebest friends since the first time they talked. While they were growing up, Oscar'sfatherpassedout,andthereforehehadtostartworkingata veryearlyage.

When they graduated, both of them began working for the same company with a similar occupation; however, only Oscar recognized theopportunitythatwasgiventothem,sohemadetheefforttowork hard and give stability to his family. Meanwhile, when the company became more important and their work became more strict, Jacob just gave up and decided that what he already had was enough! Finallytheylostcontactwiththeyears,andOscarbecametheCEOof the company. Meanwhile, Jacob ended up working with his dad and livinginthesameneighborhoodallhislife.

In conclusion, people with low resources should have more ambition, andit'swrongtonotthinkaboutthefutureandgiveupeasily. Theymustchangetheirmindsetinordertohaveabetterlife.
