Alpamayo visited Stanford University
Earlier this year, I took part in Stanford’s Pre-Collegiate Studies program. The program takes place on Stanford’s campus in Palo Alto and lasts for two weeks. When you arrive, you are assigned a house with people from your country. Many countries take part in the program, so I got to meet people from all around the world, including Colombia, Australia, China, Mexico, and much many countries. The classes are not so intense. They are introductory courses into the many different topics offered by Stanford. We learned a lot and the classes were very fun. What I enjoyed most about the trip, though, was the weekend. During the weekend, we visited many different places, such as Levi’s Stadium, SFO, Great America Amusement Park, and other places. I think it’s a great experience that shows you what it’s like to live and study in a university and helps you decide what to be when you grow up. It is also a great way to meet people from your own country and many others. Alonso Rios, G9.
