Our Schmidt family story. Schmidt Family of Companies is the parent company to its whole Coldwell Banker franchise. We are a fifth generation, full-service brokerage firm founded in 1927 specializing in residential, luxury and commercial real estate, property management, mortgage, and title services. H. F. Schmidt Real Estate, as the firm was originally known, was based on the principles of honesty, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to outstanding service. Harold Schmidt’s adherence to these standards of excellence earned him the trust and confidence of his clients, building a solid foundation for what was to become one of the most respected and largest real estate brokerage firms in the Midwest. Harold’s son, Joseph Schmidt, joined the company in 1946 and under his leadership the company experienced unparalleled growth. His sons, Fred and Ken, entered the company in 1962 and 1968, respectively. Today, Ken’s son, Mike Schmidt, is the Chairman and CEO of the firm, Steve Bell is the President and CFO, and Tom Gray is the COO. The firm joined Coldwell Banker Corporation as a franchisee in 1983. Our Coldwell Banker franchise is the largest in the Coldwell Banker network based on the number of offices and third based on units sold. Coldwell Banker Commercial named us the number one affiliate in North America. Coldwell Banker St. Croix Realty joined the Schmidt Family of Companies in 2018, and we expanded our ability to serve the US Virgin Islands community with the opening of Coldwell Banker St. Thomas Realty in 2021.

In 2019, Ken and Mike Schmidt founded the Schmidt Community Fund — a place where we can all give to those that need it so much. The CB Supports St. Jude campaign allows Coldwell Banker affiliated agents to make a donation for every home sale or purchase they complete to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®: Finding cures. Saving children. Since then, our CB Supports St. Jude partnership has gone on to far surpass its goals, donating more than $1.3 million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since the program’s inception in 2020. It’s illustrative of the character of our network that Coldwell Banker agents and offices have countless additional causes that they choose to devote their time, energy, and resources to support. Whether benefiting outstanding local organizations or larger nonprofits that make a big impact, together, our network has donated over $31 million. While these attributes make the U.S. Virgin Islands a cherished Caribbean gem, they pale in comparison to the warm, friendly people who live and work here. Lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need is at the core of our company’s overall mission and values. As such, our team is committed to supporting the local community in various ways by giving our time, efforts, and financial contributions. The global pandemic highlighted the vulnerability of countries and nations near and far. Now more than ever, our agents are determined to identify organizations and initiatives within the community that would benefit from direct assistance from

the company. Our franchise owner, Schmidt Family of Companies, invests in youth, programs, and initiatives in our community through their non-profit organization, Schmidt Community Fund. Carrie Skomp, VP of Operations for Schmidt Family of Companies, shared how supporting Coldwell Banker St. Croix Realty with these monetary donations aligns with their philosophy. “We truly believe that together, we can do more,” said Skomp. “Our guiding philosophy is to invest in our youth by supporting programs and initiatives in the communities in which we live and serve that further the lifework of the Schmidt Family, our agents and staff.” In May 2023, Coldwell Banker St. Croix Realty team partnered with St. Croix Christian Church to raise money for a diaper drive for the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix,


a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and empower people impacted by violence through multiple initiatives like their 24-hour crisis intervention hotline, emergency shelter program, and more. Our agents purchased diapers or donated money for the drive. Thanks to Coldwell Banker Schmidt Family of Companies, the $1200 donation collected by the agents was matched dollar for dollar. Local warehouse retailer Cost U Less sold the diapers at cost, allowing for this donation to have a far-reaching impact on families in need. 2023 saw several initiatives led by our St. Croix and St. Thomas agents that were supported through the Schmidt Community Fund. » In September 2023, St. Croix agents Amy Crespo, Isabel Brady, and Judy Lambert volunteered at the Children’s Museum of St. Croix Worldwide Day of Play. » St. Croix agent Lorine Williams volunteers as a Women’s Coalition Advocate each month and has been a volunteer with this organization for the last 20 years. » Since 2021, our St. Thomas agent Carol Howell has been a member of the New Vibes Sports Club. She provides after-school grassroots soccer training two days a week at the St. Thomas Boys and Girls Club at the Oswald Harris Court Housing Community. » St. Croix agent Christie Powers presented a $500 check from the Schmidt Community Fund to World Ocean School. The school provides students of all backgrounds with immersive opportunities to learn to care for themselves, their crew, and their ship, becoming vessels of change in the world they inherit. » Christie also presented another $500 check from the Schmidt Community Fund to Lion Haven St. Croix Community Center. The center provides a safe place for St. Croix youth to learn, grow, and thrive while meeting the needs of the island community with afterschool tutoring and programs. Since our inception, our agents have cheerfully given back to the U.S. Virgin

Closed Units, and Closed Sales Volume (collectively, the “Metrics”) were measured during this Study. To calculate the results, we took a sample of the 4,000 independent sales associates who had been affiliated with the Coldwell Banker® brand for at least a year prior to the study and who participated in CBU Learning Center learning classes and activities between January 2020 and December 2021 (the “Sample Pool”) and entered their activities into REScoreboard. All sales associates included in the study completed one or more learning classes, each ranging in duration from a minimum of three hours up to twenty-two hours. We measured the monthly Metrics generated by the Sample Pool during the 12 months prior to their taking any Coldwell Banker courses and then measured the monthly Metrics generated during the 12 months after the end date of each affiliated agent’s participation in the learning courses.
