At this time of year we normally recharge our batteries by pulling on our walking boots and heading for the woods and hills or the coastal cliff-paths to marvel at the sea and sky across Cardigan Bay. We then return home with a rosy glow to a hearty casserole with homely pud in front of the woodburning stove before a spot of star-gazing in the chill clear evening. Sounds blissful, doesn’t it?

So we thought we’d give you a rare chance to share an idyllic winter/spring break with us.

We’ll be firing up the cedar barrel sauna, serving up comforting bowls of home-cooked scrumptiousness and lighting the woodburner and chandeliers in the pub.

This is an experience normally only available for fforest chief’s personal guests, Check in at midday on Friday and check out at lunchtime on Sunday to make the most of your romantic woodland weekend.

Looking out over their own frost-crisped lawn to the preseli hills, our four split level crog lofts offer all the comforts of a boutique hotel suite in a beautiful stone-walled barn conversion.

They each have under floor heating, a heated wetroom, a private terrace with outdoor seating and are just a short stroll from the lodge and the candlelit pub.

We’re proud of the food we serve at fforest and will be treating you to all your breakfasts and suppers, leaving lunch for you to try the great resturaunts in the area.

All food at fforest is prepared and cooked on site by our cooks, using produce sourced as locally and ethically as possible. Our now established market garden at the farm provides much of our fruit and vegetable requirements, and our resident chickens supply the eggs for wholesome breakfasts of homemade granola, local honey, bread, fruit, yoghurt and fresh coffee.
