Kid’s Triathlon

Kid’s Triathlon is back! Join us at Chisholm Park, where athletes can bike, run, and slide to the finish line.
Participants will bike the path around Chisholm Aquatics Center (roughly .6 miles), run a short course (roughly .25 miles), and finish off by going down an inflatable water slide! All participants will have photo opportunities, snacks, and fun! This event is FREE and open to those ages 5-12.
Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. Select your slot preference when registering. The race distance is the same for all ages.

Athletes MUST:
• Bring their own bikes and helmets to the race
• Be able to ride a bike without training wheels

Youth Fitness: Power Hour
This is the ultimate youth fitness class designed for 1014 year-olds. Led by certified instructor, Jason Taylor, NASM, this dynamic 45-minute session introduces active kiddos to the fundamentals of fitness, while ensuring they have a blast! More than just a sweat session, Power Hour educates participants on establishing and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle, covering everything from nutrition to proper hydration. Parents can trust their kids are in expert hands, as the program instills confidence and camaraderie, setting the stage for a lifelong love of fitness and wellbeing. More information is on page 23.
NUTRITION COUNSELING
We have all heard the saying that a healthy lifestyle is 80% diet and 20% fitness. Are you looking for some guidance to successfully maintain that 80%? Look no further! With expertise in weight loss management, disease management, sports nutrition, eating disorders, and general wellness, our individual nutrition counseling is available for your every need. Walk-in and online registration for Hurst residents begins Monday, August 19 at 7 a.m. and non-residents begins Monday, August 26 at 7 a.m.
How do I know if I am a Hurst resident?
Residency is defined by: living within the Hurst city limits, receiving a water bill from the City of Hurst, and paying property taxes to the City of Hurst.
A $2 fee per class will be applied for non-residents.
Online and in-person registration is available until the start day of class, space permitting.

Recreation Classes: When you sign up for one of our classes, we depend on your participation for a successful class. If you have an unforeseen circumstance and cannot attend your class, we will gladly refund your fee with 72 hours notice before the class start date. Thank you for your cooperation.

Help us keep your favorite classes around by enrolling early. There is a point when a course must be canceled due to low enrollment. Help us prevent course cancellations by registering early!

Click “Sign in here” or image titled “Register for Classes.” The click takes you to an outside website . If you need to return to the Recreation website, click on the City of Hurst logo.

Click “Sign In/Register” at the very top of the page. This feature allows you to either sign in to your current account or create a new account if you do not already have one.
To register for a program online, you MUST have a household account. If you do not have one, you may make one online or in-person at the Hurst Recreation Center. To create an account online, please enter all required information. When you create an account online, you are automatically designated as a non-resident. When registering online, you must prove your residency beforehand to receive the Hurst resident rate. After registering, there is no refund or prorate of the fee(s).
Hurst Residents must provide proof of residency at the Hurst Recreation Center, such as a driver’s license and current Hurst water bill or lease agreement. Upon reviewing the proof of residency information, the Recreation staff will change the designation from non-resident to resident.

• Once you have logged in, select the program of interest from the main menu. Search for your specific programs by the activity code number listed throughout the Live & Play Parks and Recreation Activity Guide in the keyword search bar.
• Next, choose the family member you would like to register. Fill in any roster notes, if needed, and “Add to Cart.” Repeat for each individual family member.
