Mother Nature can often make outdoor workouts challenging in the fall months! Good thing we have a nice, dry facility for you to take advantage of when the fall Texas weather takes its toll! The Hurst Recreation Center offers affordable memberships, a wide range of classes, and a basketball court, racquetball, volleyball, and pickleball. Use the indoor track to exercise or work out in our state-of-the-art fitness center. Equipment for all activities is available for check out with your Rec Membership Card at the Recreation Center’s front desk. The Fitness Center has all the necessary equipment to get a complete workout. The treadmills, elliptical crosstrainers, and lateral trainers in the Cardio Room all have individual television screens to watch your favorite TV show during your workout. You can enjoy our HDTVs while using our treadmills and ellipticals, bikes, stairclimbers, rowing machines, seated cross-trainers, or your smart device to listen to your favorites. Any complete fitness program includes a strength training regimen. We have an extensive selection of machined weights, plate-loaded strength equipment, dumbbells, and flexibility equipment. With expertise in weight loss and management, disease management, sports nutrition, eating disorders, and general wellness, individual nutrition counseling is available for your every need. A one-hour session costs $55, or a series of 3 sessions costs $130.

DecemberWhen 1-15 Santa wants to hear from you! Write your letter to Santa, and he will write you back! You can drop your letter in one of Santa’s Mailboxes from December 1-15. Include a return address, so Santa knows where you send your letter. We have mailboxes located at the Hurst Recreation Center, Hurst Public Library, and Hurst City Hall.

Walk-in and online registration for Hurst residents begins on Monday, August 8, at 7:00 a.m. Non-residents will be able to register beginning on Monday, August 22, at 7:00 a.m.
How do you know if you are a Hurst Resident? Residency is defined by: living within the Hurst city limits, receiving a water bill from the City of Hurst, and paying property taxes to the City of Hurst.
• Only hit SUBMIT once. It may take a moment to load, but once it is selected, your payment will process.

That’s right you can save time and register your entire family online! To get started, you will need to visit the Hurst Recreation Center to activate your account. If you are a Hurst resident, you will need to bring your Hurst water bill, Hurst property tax statement, or Hurst apartment lease, and your photo ID as proof of Hurst residency to receive the Hurst resident rates. Once you have activated your account and received your user name and password, you will be able to use our online registration feature. You do not have to wait until your appropriate registration date to activate your account and receive your user name and password. Go ahead and do it the next time you are at the Recreation Center for your current class or working out. Then you will be ready to register online the day registration starts!

Hurst Residents must provide proof of residency at the Hurst Recreation Center, such as a driver’s license and current Hurst water bill or lease agreement. Upon reviewing the proof of residency information, the Recreation staff will change the designation from non-resident to resident.
• Next, choose the family member you would like to register. Fill in any roster notes, if needed, and “Add to Cart.” Repeat for each individual family member.
“Sign In/Register” at the very top of the page. This feature allows you to either sign in to your current account or create a new account if you do not already have one. To register for a program online, you MUST have a household account. If you do not have one, you may make one online or in-person at the Hurst Recreation Center. To create an account online, please enter all required information. When you create an account online, you are automatically designated as a non-resident. When registering online, you must prove your residency beforehand to receive the Hurst resident rate. After registering, there is no refund or prorate of the fee(s).

Deadline Guidelines Registration for all pre-school and youth classes must be completed in advance. The deadline for registration in pre-school and youth programs is seven days prior to the class start date. ENROLL EARLY Help us keep your favorite classes around by enrolling early. There is a point when a course must be canceled due to low enrollment. Help us prevent course cancellations by registering early!
