New to our floor this Fall is the “Corsia Console” from Iatesta Studio. This contemporary piece is built by hand from cold rolled steel and quarter-sawn Douglas Fir. The base is gilded and then glazed to create an ombre effect, while the top is sand blasted and finished with paints and stains, resulting in a textured matte sheen finish. Tension and interplay is created between the smooth refined base and rustic top as well as through the juxtaposition of warm and cool-toned finishes in equal balance.
