FREE COLORECTAL CANCER SCREENING
Did you know colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers? Screening plays a vital role in catching it early -- or even stopping it before it starts. According to the American Cancer Society, it’s the third most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., with over 1,900 Coloradans diagnosed and 680 lives lost each year. The good news? A simple at-home test can help. The Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) is an easy, non-invasive way to check for hidden blood in your stool — a possible sign of cancer or precancerous conditions. To support early detection, COE is distributing free FIT kits and offering education on cancer prevention. Individuals eligible for a free FIT kit are:
✅ 45 - 75 years old ✅ Under or uninsured ✅ Have not had a FIT in the past year, Cologuard test in the past 3 years, or colonoscopy in the past 10 years Visit our website to learn more.
