IDENTIFYING THE CANADIAN HIGH VISIBILITY STANDARD FOR WORKWEAR

• Can be any garment (except pants)

• Can be on any background material that is NOT fluorescent

• Must use 4 inch Reflective Material, Yellow or Orange / Silver / Yellow or Orange, which meets Level 2 standard for superior quality.

• Reflective Material Emplacement must be applied in a CSA approved pattern: provides 360-degree visibility with two vertical strips on front, “X” on back, material around the waist.

• Can be any garment (except pants)

• Must be on a lime yellow, orange or red, fluorescent background material.

• Must use 2 inch Silver Reflective Material, which meets Level 2 standard for superior quality.

• Reflective Material Emplacement must be applied in a CSA approved pattern: provides 360-degree visibility with two vertical strips on front, “X” on back, material around the waist.

• Applies only to coveralls, bib overalls & shirt with reflective tape on arms or pant & shirt with reflective tape on arms combination.

• Must be on a lime yellow, orange or red, fluorescent background material.

Mens’ fit

HEIGHT

Measure your height from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet (without any shoes on)

CHEST

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under your arms

WAIST

Measure around your waist at the height you prefer to wear your waistband Measure over a shirt (not over pants)

INSEAM

Use a pair of pants that fit you well Measure them along the inside seam of one leg from the bottom of hem to the crotch

SLEEVE

With elbow bent, measure from the center of the back of your neck around your elbow and to your wrist

NECK

Measure around the base of your neck where a collared shirt would fit you, or measure a collar band on a shirt that fits you well Measure from the beginning of the button hole to the center of the button
