13 Please do not sit in the areas marked with white lines. These are there to make getting around the main field easier and so we have safe evacuation routes.

Report crime at the time: go to the FOCP stall or call 101.

Only dial 999 if life is in danger or crime is in progress.

You are welcome to set up camp in the family camping area. Don’t put tents or gazebos in the main field. No BBQs or camping stoves.

The first aid tent is by the main entrance on Franklin Road.

Lock up your bikes in the tennis courts.

We have wristbands for all children.

Please come and pick one up from The Shed, or from the FOCP stall. Write your phone number on your child’s wristband.

You can find lost people at the Shed.

Bournville Train Station is 5 mins walk from the park. Many buses stop nearby.

There is disabled parking on a first come first serve basis. There will be chairs for waiting at the entrance for drop offs.

12pm, Main Field Join us at our grand opening ceremony for a celebration of togetherness, community and circus. CircusMASH will be ‘CoCo Popping’, ‘Mad Mashing’ and bringing a ‘Tonic for the masses’.

Building with bread: Loaf’s next decade begins!

It has been a decade since Loaf opened our bakery and cookery school on Stirchley High Street. In marking this

anniversary we’re not just looking back. We have big plans for the next decade which will see us strengthening our roots on the high street and investing in Stirchley’s future.

We’ve seen our high street change dramatically over the last decade, and every silver lining has a cloud. Increased property values lead to increased rents, squeezing out the businesses that made Stirchley what it is. At the same time, many of the people who work on the high street find affordable housing is cramped and of low quality.

We are a worker co-operative, everyone who works at Loaf has an equal say in how it is run.

There is no sole owner or manager — we have built Loaf by focusing on our needs and those of the community.

With these needs in mind, we teamed up with other local co-ops to buy and develop the derelict land on the corner of Hunts Road. Our new building will be run as a co-operative so everyone who lives and works there will effectively own and run it as a community.

Along with securing Loaf’s presence in Stirchley, we’ll be providing 40 affordable, high quality homes, with all profits re-invested in the building.

Bread is found at the heart of every community. Ten years ago we brought a bakery back to Stirchley High Street. We have big plans for the next ten years and beyond and we hope you’ll join us! Find out more: loaf.coop

Festival Funding CoCoMAD isn’t ‘FREE’, it’s paid for by a mixture of sponsorship from local businesses, fees paid by traders, grants and your donations.

The festival costs about £22k (most of the work is done by volunteers). If every person (adults and children) put at least £3 in the buckets we can keep CoCoMAD going.

Volunteers CoCoMAD is entirely run by volunteers, since our first event in 1997.

The rest of the cost is covered by the lovely organisations that sponsor the programme (please take some time to read through their adverts later), and the fees from stallholders.

Would you like to volunteer for CoCoMAD, or for Cotteridge Park in general?

There’s always something to do, including gardening, litter picking, festivals stewards, and shifts at The Shed. We’re always looking for more volunteers to help spread the workload, and we’re a really friendly bunch.
