JEN SILVERMAN Playwright Jen Silverman is a New York-based writer. Her plays include Witch (Writers Theatre, The Geffen Playhouse in LA); Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties… (Woolly Mammoth, Southwark Playhouse in London, MCC); The Roommate (Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Steppenwolf directed by Phylicia Rashad, Long Wharf, South Coast Repertory, Theater Biel/Solthurn in Switzerland, Salón Teatro in Spain, etc); and The Moors (The Playwrights Realm, Yale Repertory Theatre, Seymour Center in Sydney, Red Stitch in Melbourne). Jen is a member of New Dramatists, and an affiliated artist with The Playwrights Center in Minneapolis. She’s a two-time MacDowell Colony fellow, a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts grant, the Helen Merrill Award, an LMCC Fellowship, and the Yale Drama Series Award. She was the 2016–2017 Playwrights of New York (PoNY) Fellow at the Lark.

Jen is the author of The Island Dwellers, a collection of interlinked stories published by Random House and longlisted for the 2019 PEN America Literary Awards. Her debut novel We Play Ourselves was recently selected by O Magazine as an “LGBTQ Book That Will Change the Literary Landscape.” Her work has appeared in The Paris Review Daily, Ploughshares, The Gettysburg Review, Prairie Schooner, The Baffler, and LitHub among others.

Jen also writes for TV and film (Tales of the City on Netflix, original work in development with FX, A24, Netflix, Ardman Animations and Annapurna). Education: Brown, Iowa Playwrights Workshop, Juilliard.

ANDREW PAUL director

Andrew Paul (Director) – is pleased to return to Vegas Theatre Company, where he directed George Brant’s Grounded (starring Mindy Woodhead) in 2015 and Mike Bartlett’s Love, Love, Love (US Regional Premiere) in 2017 and Holmes and Watson in 2019. Andrew is the founder and producing director of Kinetic Theatre Company in Pittsburgh, PA, where he has directed Scapino by Jeffrey Binder after Moliere, The Speckled Band by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, The Father by Florian Zeller, The Liar

by David Ives after Corneille, The Christians by Lucas Hnath, Three Days in the Country by Patrick Marber after Turgenev (US Premiere), Love, Love, Love (US Regional premiere) & Cock by Mike Bartlett, Romance by David Mamet, and Strindberg’s The Dance of Death (in a new version by Conor McPherson).

He previously co-founded the acclaimed Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre (PICT) and served as the company’s producing artistic director from 1996 to 2013. Under his leadership, PICT produced more than a hundred plays, festivals devoted to the plays of Samuel Beckett, John Millington Synge, Harold Pinter, and Anton Chekhov, and two successful international tours. In 2008, he directed and collaborated with David Hare on the non-English language premier of his play Stuff Happens at the Slaski Theatre in Katowice, Poland. In Vegas, he directed The Hound f the Baskervilles and Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out for Nevada Conservatory Theatre. His production of Three Days in the Country received its West Coast premiere at the Antaeus Theatre (L.A. Times Critics Pick) in 2017. He has taught acting at Duquesne University, directing at Carnegie Mellon University, and has served as a panelist for Theatre Communications Group and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. In 2010, Andrew was a featured speaker at the World Theatre Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.

He lives in Summerlin with his wife, Maria, and children, Cristina and Alex.

JESSE BOURQUE Frank

Jesse Bourque is a film and television actor, based in Los Angeles, born and raised in Las Vegas. His credits range from performing in The 80s Show: The Musical at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, playing Macbeth in Shakespeare’s Macbeth at UC Irvine, William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, and Benjamin in The Graduate at the Onyx Theater, among many others. Graduating with an MFA from the University of California Irvine in 2020, he has performed in 36 professional theater productions and produced 3 of his own. He wishes for everyone to stay safe during these interesting times and hopes you enjoy the Vegas Theater Company’s production of Witch!

Katrina Currow is a Louisiana native who moved to Las Vegas to perform in the show, Jubilee. She has worked in theater, television, and film, as an actor and dancer. An alumna of The Atlantic Acting School in New York City, she previously worked with the Vegas Theatre Company in Still Dance The Stars and with A Public Fit in The Ghosts of Lote Bravo.

When she’s not acting, you can catch her playing piano, hanging from silks, or performing as a Golden Belle Showgirl for the Vegas Golden Knights. She is thrilled to be a part of this production with VTC!

NICK HUFF Scratch

DIANA MARTINEZ Winnifred

Nick Huff is a Los Angeles native who now is proud to call Las Vegas home.

From working in film and television and as a member of The Actors Gang theatre company in Culver City, Nick is thrilled to be involved in this production and working with Vegas Theatre Company for the first time. Nick works as an actor, teacher and coach and when he’s not acting you’ll find him leading spin classes at Lifetime Athletic. He wants to thank Daz and the entire team for this opportunity and his family and friends for the constant love and support. Enjoy the show.

Diana Martinez is a latinx actress based in Mexico City and Las Vegas. She’s a proud graduate of CEA Televisa and has been featured in telenovelas such as Esta Historia Me Suena and Quererlo Todo. She is very excited to act on the Vegas Theatre Company stage for the first time, and wants to thank the entire VTC family for making her feel right at home, as well as her loved ones for all their support.

Jacob Moore, originally from Walla Walla, Washington, finds himself loving Las Vegas. After appearing in shows across town with Super Summer Theatre and Las Vegas Little Theatre (LVLT), and acting as a Board Member of LVLT, Jacob is honored to be working with Vegas Theatre Company.

Joel Ruud, born and raised in Las Vegas, keeps trying to move anywhere else and get a real job, but the Vegas theatre scene is too darn fun! Joel is an alumnus of Rainbow Company Youth Theatre, and a collector of cool jobs. Highlights include delivering Covid testing supplies everywhere west of the Mississippi and helping run Princess Parties USA. This is Joel’s first production with Vegas Theatre Company. and he’s stoked to be working with such a spectacular and kind team of theatre-makers.

WHITNEY LEHN MELTZ Scenic Design

Adrienne Showker is delighted to be working with VTC again. She finished her Master’s Degree in Theatre Directing, from The University of Essex in London, England in 2020, and has enjoyed flexing those muscles after the long hiatus of COVID. She would like to thank Andrew Paul for his openness and generosity of welcoming all ideas, and the cast and crew for their dedication and passion.

Whitney Lehn Meltz (pronouns they/ them/theirs), is a Scenic Designer and Properties Artisan from Decatur, IL. They have a passion for education that has kept them near academia, and as such, is currently finishing a Master’s program at the UNLV. Recent scenic design credits include Shrek the Musical (Sierra Repertory Theatre), bobrauschenbergamerica, and Marcus, or the Secret of Sweet (Nevada Conservatory Theatre). Whitney also enjoys working with puppetry, and was thrilled to design the puppets for Shrek the Musical and NCT’s upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors. This is Whitney’s first time working with VTC and is grateful to join a wonderful team!

SYDNEY MAY Lighting Design

CANDICE LEA WYNANTS Costume Design

Syd May is excited to be designing their seventh production with Vegas Theatre Company. Previous VTC credits include The Father, The Dog / The Cat, Sweat, Holmes and Watson, and most recently, Men on Boats. Theater patrons may have also seen some of their designs at Super Summer Studios, including 12 Dates, Rat Pack, and most recently, Doonesbury. Syd would like to thank Rosco Lee for being the best foot warmer, stage potato, and theatre dog anyone could ask for.

Candice Lea Wynants is excited to be back at Vegas Theatre Company where she previously designed The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse, and The Father by Florian Zeller. Candice has also designed Falsettos by James Lapine and Assassins by John Weidman at Las Vegas Little Theatre among others. Candice received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Production and Management from UNLV. Some more recent credits include wardrobe crew for the Off- Broadway production of Cyrano, starring Peter Dinklage, designed by Tom Brocker (SNL).

Pre-pandemic, Candice was the Assistant Costume Designer for Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.

Lastly, she is grateful to be back in the theatre after the longest intermission and thanks her friends, family and dog for all their continuous support.

TOBY ALLEN Sound Design

McKENNA RENEE Production Stage Manager

Toby Allen (Sound Design) is thrilled to be working with the revitalized Vegas Theatre Company. He has been entertaining Las Vegas crowds for the past 12 years as a member of the Australian pop vocal group, Human Nature, with The Motown Show, Jukebox, and most recently, Human Nature Sings Motown & More, at The Venetian. Human Nature has had a 32 year career selling more than 3 million albums worldwide and celebrating chart-topping successes, including #1 in Australia (2016) for their album, “Gimme Some Lovin’ - Jukebox Vol II.” Previously, Toby was Sound Designer for Nevada Conservatory Theatre’s, Macbeth, Cockroach Theatre and Kinetic’s, Love Love Love, and Cockroach Theatre’s, The Father and Sweat.

In Australia, Toby’s performance credits include Kenickie in Grease - The Arena Spectacular (2005), for Gordon Frost, and his Helpmann and Mo award-winning portrayal of The Emcee in Sam Mendes,’ Cabaret (2002/3), for IMG and Barry and Fran Weissler. Toby got to expose his wicked side playing the role of Luciano Satani in Cockroach Theatre Company’s, Satango (2019). He is excited to be working on this production of Witch, and even more excited to get out of the house and get creative again after the last 18 months.

McKenna Renee comes to the Las Vegas desert from Washington State. Currently pursuing her MFA in Stage Management at UNLV, McKenna is excited to be breaking into the Las Vegas theater community, and thrilled to be involved in this production with Vegas Theatre Company. When she isn’t sending emails or watching rehearsals, McKenna loves to read a classic book and eat at local restaurants. She wants to thank Daz for this amazing opportunity, along with her friends and family for the neverending love and unconditional support. Thanks for coming to the show!
