We promoted four wines from Pazo Pondal throughout the duration of our promotion. Three are wines we promoted last year, and one was new in store for the promotion.

NATURE OF PROMO
We had a great fortnight celebrating Albariño Day this year!
We featured Albariño and the POS material prominently throughout the store, with the wines in the window and our central barrel. The totebags and maps were also displayed, with information at the till too
We integrated our Albariño celebrations into our
Summer Tasting Series, hosting two free wine tastings featuring Albariño wines (one exclusively Albariño, one alongside other Spanish wines)
We also had Albariños open to sample throughout the two weeks for drop-in tastings
We had an Albariño Lucky Dip, where every purchaser got to choose a prize
We did another Albariño Instagram giveaway, after its success last year, to win an Albariño Picnic Pack, and were active on social media and email marketing
Each of the wines were 15% off for the duration of the promo, both in store and online
We sold 33 bottles of Albariño, compared to 4 the previous fortnight

We had two wine tastings featuring Albariño wines:
‘All About Albariño Wine Tasting’ showcased all four Albariño wines. The following week, ‘Vino de Verano: Spanish Summer Wine Tasting’ featured one Albariño again, along with three other Spanish wines
Both were part of our Summer Tasting Series, which included 15 free tastings throughout August.

This blend of Albariño and regional grape varieties shows a great aromatic intensity and complexity with floral aromas standing out Packed with white fruit and citrus and some lychee, it has a crisp acidity and a mineral backbone
