AUTHOR: UZOMA UPONI - SAT, MAR 11, 2-3PM Uzoma Uponi gained a reputation as a gifted storyteller when her debut novel, ‘ColourBLIND’, was a finalist of the Commonwealth Writers Prize. Her novel, ‘Whispers from Yesteryears’, is a sequel to ColourBLIND.

Through her stories, Uzoma lends her voice to the growing African lifestyles.

‘DYING’ FOR CONVERSATION - SAT, MAR 18 & MAR 25, 10:15AM-11:15AM, FREE, DROP-IN Join End of Life Doula for casual conversations around end of life. End of life is one of the least talked about subjects, but should it be? We need to feel comfortable having conversations on death and dying so we can ensure we get the care we need, and our final wishes are known and carried through until the end.

This is a training program for the natural helpers that youth turn to for help when they’re struggling. It equips helpers with the knowledge and skills they need to help youth, learn mental health and suicide awareness, refer them to resources, and take care of themselves as helpers.
