Cochrane Program Guide

All programs are open to Cochrane and West Rocky View County residents and free unless specified.

Our hours are extended until 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month. Schedule an evening appointment with a Resource Worker, purchase a bus pass or drop in to discover the wide range of resources and services we offer.

Regular Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

LLLC - Cochrane Breastfeeding Support Group

For parents and family members who are interested in or currently breastfeeding and/or pumping

This will be a space to ask questions, support other mothers, be supported yourself and to learn about the wonders of breastfeeding.

Infant Massage

For parents with babies birth-crawling

Parents learn gentle infant massage techniques that soothe babies, promote bonding and support healthy growth in a calming, hands-on class designed for nurturing touch and relaxation.

Join us for a preschool birthday party where your child’s development will be celebrated! Everyone who completes an Ages and Stages Questionnaire will receive a gift bag for their child.

Fear-Less Seminar

For parents with children 6-14 yrs

Fear-Less Triple P offers parents anxiety-management skills they can teach their children. Learn how anxiety works, how to help children develop coping skills, face their fears and how to respond effectively to children’s anxiety.

ASIST Training

For ages 18+, Cost: $165

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Trained Community Helpers can attend at a reduced cost.
