Well, we lost another Daytona Beach icon recently, in Billy “Ace” Myers!!! I did a write up on Ace a few months ago, and I don’t think I have ever had anyone be more grateful than he was when he saw it. I remember he told me that he never won the big race, but finished many times in the top five, and I replied, “Brother, you won the big race in life as you have thousands of friends and family that love you and the life you have lived.” He appreciated those words, and it
is the truth. Billy was a true biker and racer!!! He loved the sport and all that came with it. So Ace, you are going to be missed at the Cabbage Patch and AMA Swap Meets, but you are still racing in out hearts and memories. Fly high Brother, fly high!!! Well, it looks like the Swamp Rats finally figured out a way to bring DC back to staus quo. If they had of thought Clinton was going to loose like they KNEW Biden was, they would have did the same underhanded bullshit for her. I made a statement back in November, that I was through with voting and some jumped my azz, but I am over it. We regular folks have no say so in elections anymore. Technology has advanced enough now, that they can play with numbers, and machines to manipulate who they want in office. This is why Biden didn’t have to campaign, it was already decided. I am through, however I also said whether President Trump wins or loses, I was going to put a picture in here of him giving the finger to those azzhats, so look for it. The funny thing about all this is, the winning side, other than the Washington scum, aren’t dancing in the streets, because even the rankest of all liberals and Democrats KNOW Trump was cheated out of his second term!!! Gods Corner Hey Cochise, Was just wandering what you’re up to, as far as ministry goes? I see you aren’t pastoring anymore, so what are you doing for God? Well, I am doing what I have always done in ministry, and that is what use to be refered to as “Lifestyle Evangelism”, or just walking among the people, friends, family and strangers and trying to let your Christian “Light” shine for them to see. Sometimes it works, sometimes I feel as I am not making much progress, but as the Bible says, we are not called to do the saving, rather we are called to witness to others what a change happens to us when we accept Jesus and His way. I have seen a few old hardcore folks change. One was a sworn atheist, but no more, he is searching and I am assured he will find what he is looking for. So be a witness for Jesus and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting (rather than us judging) and from what I have seen, a few will follow the path of righteousness also!!! I Corinthians 9:19-23

“Same Men, Almost 60 Years A Part”
This is Rocky, another Daytona Beach Panhead legend, sit up at the Cabbage Patch in 1986. They were waiting for the Swap Meet across from the Daytona Flea Market to open so they could sell some parts. It was 2 or 3 days before they could set up there, and being dead broke, they decided to open up shop at the Patch. Someone ratted them out to Ronnie, who came out and told them to get the hell out of there. Rocky told him the story of being broke and waiting to set up shop about 10miles North. He also told Ronnie that they have to pay $50 a day to sell at the Swap Meet, and would be glad to pay him for what time they were selling parts on his property (at this time Rocky & friends had already sold $750 worth of parts)! Ronnie said, “$50 a day?” Yep! So Ronnie, the owner of the Patch, said “Just stay right where you are, and just pay me.” Bottomline? These old boys became the very first vendors to ever sell at the Cabbage Patch, and you know the rest of the story!!! RIP Ronnie Luznar!!! Chops 12
1977 late February I went into Pittsburgh Harley-Davidson on the Northside. I bought this 1977 lowrider off the showroom floor from Lou Bacon the manager. I paid total $2,200 out the door. Hour later I drove it away it was cold as shit in Pittsburgh. That week I put a backrest on it and took off that Chrome Cannon they had on there for a muffler. Put a set of drag pipes on it so you can hear the Shovelhead. Later that week I got my sleeping bag and my clothes and headed to Bike Week Daytona 1977. At that time the only way down here was the Turnpike to Interstate 95. It started snowing in DC all the way to Ridgeland South Carolina. The roads are so bad you had a ride in the middle and it was so cold that all the snot was frozen on your beard. I would stop every so often put my gloves on the exhaust pipes to let them get warm and soften up. Next morning when I got up in Ridgeland the electric start would not turn the bike over. So I had to use the kick-start on a 10 degree day. It was like trying to kick through a bucket of molasses. Couldn’t push start it the parking lot was ice and snow. About an hour later got it running headed to Daytona. I broke the bike in on the way down here with the idea of ride it like you stole it. It had a warranty so I torture that bike all the way down while I was here and then back home. Had a warranty but never had to use it. It ran perfect. And the ride home was cold but no snow. Why do we ride? Or as someone once noted, why would a sane person put gallons of flammable liquid over a motor that reaches temperatures that would boil water, place it between their legs and sit on it for miles and miles at a time? I don’t know why some do, but........ For me, I very seldom think about the dangers of riding a motorcycle, rather I concentrate on the feeling it brings to me, physically, mentally and yes even spiritually. I have psoriatic arthritis and there are days I can hardly get out of bed from it, but once on the bike, and rolling, the pain leaves, seriously. For me it’s freedom from stress!!!

Ill start with this pic. Early 80s with ol lady Kate,my son Chantz & squirt. The boy is 45 now. This is out front of our club house in Oakland. Ravens MC. We are all packed up for a trip to Day Trippers MC in Yuma AZ., for there April spring opener. Good 2 week journey hitting all the club houses on the way there, picking up a rider or 2 at different stops & partying half the night at each stop, (for me any way). Others had powdered eggs to help them stay up all night. We’d get to Yuma a few days early for a more personal time, before the mad rush of folks from all over U.S. I loved it when the boys from South east would show up,with Gunny sacks of crawdads & sippin whiskey. That’s when I learned to swish a bit in your mouth. If it burned, not good. The good stuff was smooth & warmed you up on the way down. I don’t remember if it was this trip, but one time, 1 of the big clubs was supposed to crash the party. Well of course all these clubs from all over show up. Many who are combat vet from, Vietmam, still fresh a few yrs. Since its only been 7-8 yrs since it ended. Well I called it the gun toting mob. The cops got wind of it, but stayed out on the hiway & left us alone. You could talk to them back then. There plan was to come in & clean up, the mess. Which never happened. The crashers never showed. So we just parted, played poker, drank beer & electric wine. Had some of the vets took turns creeping the wire,so to speak. I guess the crashers figured the can of worms they would have opened, crashing a party with at least 25 clubs from around the USA. I’m from back east, the club mentality was much nicer out west, which drew me to CA. We worked hard at partying & getting to know each other. Great network of brothers from, other mothers. Many still lasting to this day. Most of us old guys are gone now. I look at the new guys, & laugh. Many can’t even change a tire on the road. Could you imagine if they had a pan or knuckle. The Baytown Outlaws is a 2012 action comedy film directed by Barry Battles in his directorial debut, and written by Battles and Griffin Hood. The film stars Andre Braugher, Clayne Crawford, Daniel Cudmore, Travis Fimmel, Eva Longoria, Paul Wesley, and Billy Bob Thornton. The film follows the Oodie brothers - Brick, Lincoln and McQueen - who act as vigilante killers for the local sheriff. When the trio accept a job to rescue a young boy from his godfather, plans quickly fall apart as the brothers aim to deliver the boy to safety while pursued by groups of assassins. The Plot In Alabama, Oodie brothers Brick, Lincoln and McQueen work as vigilantes for the man who raised them, Sheriff Henry Millard; they bypass the legal system to murder criminals, keeping the crime rate the lowest in the state. After one of their assaults, they are approached by Celeste, a witness to the incident, who offers them $25,000 to rescue her godson Rob and kill his godfather and captor,[3] the drug lord Carlos. The trio accept. Meanwhile, ATF agent Anthony Reese approaches Millard about the spree of criminal deaths and his suspects; the Oodie brothers. Millard is intentionally obstructive to Reese’s request for aid. The Oodie’s travel to Carlos’ home and assault the building, killing Carlos’s men but failing to kill Carlos. They recover Rob; a young disabled man in a wheelchair. Carlos sends a group of female biker assassins after them. The bikers find the brothers resting at a bar. The bikers seduce the unaware brothers, separating them from each other, but when Lincoln notices one of them wheeling Rob away, the women attack them. The brothers manage to kill the women and recover Rob, but the massacre ends up on the news with sketches of the three brothers provided by the bar owner, giving Reese the evidence he needs that the Oodies are killers. Brick calls Celeste to find out why the simple job now involves assassins; Celeste confesses that Rob was from a wealthy family that were killed by Carlos so that he, as Rob’s legal guardian, could obtain a large trust fund that Rob is to inherit on his impending 18th birthday. Brick makes a further call to Millard who tells them that because of Reese’s evidence, he has to disavow them and will arrest them if they return to Alabama. gests they quit the job, but Brick tells McQueen that they once had a brother like Rob that was regularly beaten by their father until one day he woke up and the brother was gone; the resemblance makes Brick reluctant to let Carlos retake Rob. Another group of assassins in an armored vehicle attack the brothers on the road and snatch Rob from the moving car. The brothers give chase and Lincoln leaps onto the vehicle, singlehandedly slaughtering everyone inside, but he is badly injured and the brothers’ car is broken. While walking down the road, the group are picked up by a passing van; one of the passengers is a nurse and tends to Lincoln’s wounds but he remains weakened. The group is dropped off in Vicksburg, Mississippi where they wait for Celeste and prepare for further attacks. Reese discovers a photo of Millard recovering the brothers as children after their father’s death, and large cash withdrawals he suspects were used to pay the brothers. He confronts Millard with the evidence and forces him to give up the brothers location for a lesser jail sentence; Millard goes with Reese. A Native American gang arrives and attacks, leaving Brick and McQueen to defend Rob and Lincoln. Celeste later arrives and joins the brothers. They manage to kill most of the gang and Lincoln recovers enough to stop one of them from taking Rob, but Celeste and Brick are downed and the remaining gang member attempts to scalp McQueen; he is shot by Millard. Millard and the brothers are arrested; the brothers provide a false story that does not involve Celeste, allowing her to take care of Rob. Reese’s success is rewarded with a transfer to manage the territory; much to his chagrin. Carlos is killed by an explosive package sent by Celeste. 57 months later, the brothers are freed from jail. They receive a letter from Celeste, enclosing their promised $25,000 payment, with a new truck waiting for them courtesy of Rob. Celeste ends the letter by saying that others could use their help. Reviews The film opened to mixed reviews. The sense was that the movie was made to capture the essence of a Robert Rodriguez or Quentin Tarrantino styled movie, “but not as good,” and “it has neither the stamina nor the wit to go the distance.” Yet, it was deemed entertaining nonetheless. On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 22% based on 27 reviews, with an average rating of 4.13/10

Bruce Dern One of my all time favorite “bit” actors, though I never saw him as such. In his early carrer on the big screen as a biker in the “B” grade movies or as a villian in the old cowboy TV series and movies, I was always drawn to him. Maybe it was the fact he always looked physco to me, as in not caring and he would show that in that big eyed stare he had. I believe he had what it took to be a leading man, but it never really came. Here is some bio on one of the best actors around, even today!!! Bruce MacLeish Dern (born June 4, 1936) is an American actor, often playing supporting villainous characters of unstable nature. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Coming Home (1978) and the Academy Award for Best Actor for Nebraska (2013). His other major film appearances include Silent Running (1972), The King of Marvin Gardens (1972), The Cowboys (1972), Posse (1975), Family Plot (1976), Black Sunday (1977), Tattoo (1981), Monster (2003), The Hateful Eight (2015), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), and The Artist’s Wife (2020). Dern was born in Chicago, the son of Jean (née MacLeish; 1908–1972) and John Dern (1903–1958), a utility chief and attorney. He grew up in Kenilworth, Illinois. His paternal grandfather, George, was a Utah governor and Secretary of War (he was serving in the latter position during the time of Bruce’s birth). Dern played a murderous rustler in Clint Eastwood’s Hang ‘Em High and a gunfighter in the western spoof Support Your Local Sheriff!. He played cattle thief Asa Watts, who murders John Wayne’s character in The Cowboys (1972). Fritz the Cat is a 1972 American adult animated black comedy film written and directed by Ralph Bakshi in his directorial debut. Based on the comic strip by R. Crumb and starring Skip Hinnant, the film focuses on Fritz (Hinnant), a glib, womanizing and fraudulent cat in an anthropomorphic animal version of New York City during the mid-to-late 1960s. Fritz decides on a whim to drop out of college, interacts with inner city African American crows, unintentionally starts a race riot, and becomes a leftist revolutionary. The film is a satire focusing on American college life of the era, race relations, the free love movement and serves as a criticism of the countercultural political revolution and dishonest political activists. The film had a troubled production history, as Crumb, who is politically left-wing, had disagreements with the filmmakers over the film’s political content, which he saw as being critical of the political left. Produced on a budget of $700,000, the film was intended by Bakshi to broaden the animation market. At that time period, animation was seen predominantly as a children’s medium. Bakshi envisioned animation as being a medium that could tell more dramatic or satirical storylines with larger scopes, dealing with more mature and diverse themes that would resonate with adults. Bakshi also wanted to establish an independent alternative to the films produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which dominated the animation market due to a lack of independent competition. The intention of featuring profanity, sex and drug use, particularly cannabis, provoked criticism from more conservative members of the animation industry, who accused Bakshi of attempting to produce a pornographic animated film, as the concept of adult animation was not widely understood at the time. The Motion Picture Association of America gave the film an X rating, making it the first American animated film to receive the rating, which was then predominantly associated with more arthouse films. Sanford in Sanford & Son, George Jefferson & of course Archie Bunker, Americans didn’t take everything so serious. These 3 mentioned above portrayed being racist, were they in real life, I don’t know, but I will say the parts they acted in were, BUT we all laughed about it, unlike all the sissy butt liberal leftist of the 2000!!!

This is my all time favorite movie involving motorcycles. It’s a true story based on an older cat from New Zealand, coming to America, the Bonneville Salt Flats to break land speed records on his old Indian. Hopkins plays Bert Monroe perfectly. A little slow in the beginning but the last half is GREAT!!! A must see!!!

Willem Defoes first leading role in a movie, and it’s a good one, IF you like to see period correct motorcyclesand how bikers acted back then, or I should say how the 99% DID NOT act in those days. Set in the 1950s, ths flick has an attitude from hell. Robert Gordon, of the early Rock-ABilly fame wrote the songs for the movie and starred in it with Defoe. Though Willem is the coolest of the cool, Robert portrays a crazed man on a Harley, that goes beserk in the end. I give this Flick a true 5 Stars!!!
