Thank all of you who prayed for my wife Bianca during her ordeal dealing with her kidneys. As of this writing she has just had the operation and though a tad sore she’s doing fine, thank you also to those that give to help her out.
Not a lot planned for the next couple of months other than the Freedom Rides. This month we’ll leave The Boot on Main St., and end at OB’s, with 2 stops in between, Annie Oakley’s and IKE’s. I hope to see you out riding either with us or just out!!!
I’m penning this on April 16th so we haven’t had the Freedom Ride for Rain Man yet, but I know it’s gonna be a good one.
Mark your calendars for June 7th, as OB’s has there annual Americana Summer Bike Show. $1,000.00 for best overall AND another thousand for best bikini girl!!! That’s a lot of JACK, ladies & gentlemen!
As for me and my scatica that’s been tearing me up for over a year, everyday, physical theraphy has helped, but I still get woken at night from it. Will it ever stop hurting? Maybe surgery is the answer, however that will the absoluely last measure to deal with it.

John 3:18. “He that believeth not is condemned already.” So that every unconverted man properly belongs to hell; that is his place; from thence he is, John 3:23. “Ye are from beneath.” And thither be is bound; it is the place that justice, and God’s word, and the sentence of his unchangeable law assign to him.
4. They are now the objects of that very same anger and wrath of God, that is expressed in the torments of hell. And the reason why they do not go down to hell at each moment, is not because God, in whose power they are, is not then very angry with them; as he is with many miserable creatures now tormented in hell, who there feel and bear the fierceness of his wrath.
Yea, God is a great deal more angry with great numbers that are now on earth: yea, doubtless, with many that are now in this congregation, who it may be are at ease, than he is with many of those who are now in the flames of hell. So that it is not because God is unmindful of their wickedness, and does not resent it, that he does not let loose his hand and cut them off. God is not altogether such an one as themselves, though they may imagine him to be so. The wrath of God burns against them, their damnation does not slumber; the pit is prepared, the fire is made ready, the furnace is now hot, ready to receive them; the flames do now rage and glow. The glittering sword is whet, and held over them, and the pit hath opened its mouth under them.
5. The devil stands ready to fall upon them, and seize them as his own, at what moment God shall permit him. They belong to him; he has their souls in his possession, page

10 and under his dominion. The scripture represents them as his goods, Luke 11:12. The devils watch them; they are ever by them at their right hand; they stand waiting for them, like greedy hungry lions that see their prey, and expect to have it, but are for the present kept back. If God should withdraw his hand, by which they are restrained, they would in one moment fly upon their poor souls. The old serpent is gaping for them; hell opens its mouth wide to receive them; and if God should permit it, they would be hastily swallowed up and lost.
6. There are in the souls of wicked men those hellish principles reigning, that would presently kindle and flame out into hell fire, if it were not for God’s restraints. There is laid in the very nature of carnal men, a foundation for the torments of hell. There are those corrupt principles, in reigning power in them, and in full possession of them, that are seeds of hell fire. These principles are active and powerful, exceeding violent in their nature, and if it were not for the restraining hand of God upon them, they would soon break out, they would flame out after the same manner as the same corruptions, the same enmity does in the hearts of damned souls, and would beget the same torments as they do in them. The souls of the wicked are in scripture compared to the troubled sea, Isa. lvii.
20. For the present, God restrains their wickedness by his mighty power, as he does the raging waves of the troubled sea, saying, “Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further;” but if God should withdraw that restraining power, it would soon carry all before it. Sin is the ruin and misery of the soul; it is destructive in its nature; and if God should leave it without restraint, there would need nothing else to make
Chops 10

the soul perfectly miserable. The corruption of the heart of man is immoderate and boundless in its fury; and while wicked men live here, it is like fire pent up by God’s restraints, whereas if it were let loose, it would set on fire the course of nature; and as the heart is now a sink of sin, so if sin was not restrained, it would immediately turn the soul into a fiery oven, or a furnace of fire and brimstone.
7. It is no security to wicked men for one moment, that there are no visible means of death at hand. It is no security to a natural man, that he is now in health, and that he does not see which way he should now immediately go out of the world by any accident, and that there is no visible danger in any respect in his circumstances. The manifold and continual experience of the world in all ages, shows this is no evidence, that a man is not on the very brink of eternity, and that the next step will not be into another world. The unseen, unthought-of ways and means of persons going suddenly out of the world are innumerable and inconceivable. Unconverted men walk over the pit of hell on a rotten covering, and there are innumerable places in this covering so weak that they will not bear their weight, and these places are not seen. The arrows of death fly unseen at noon-day; the sharpest sight cannot discern them. God has so many different unsearchable ways of taking wicked men out of the world and sending them to hell, that there is nothing to make it appear, that God had need to be at the expence of a miracle, or go out of the ordinary course of his providence, to destroy any wicked nian, at any moment. All the means that there are of sinners going out of the world, are so in God’s hands, and so universally and absolutely subject to his power and determination, that it does not depend at all the less on the mere will of God,

whether sinners shall at any moment go to hell, than if means were never made use of, or at all concerned in the case.
8. Natural men’s prudence and care to preserve their own lives, or the care of others to preserve them, do not secure them a moment. To this, divine providence and universal experience do also bear testimony. There is this clear evidence that men’s own wisdom is no security to them from death; that if it were otherwise we should see some difference between the wise and politic men of the world, and others, with regard to their liableness to early and unexpected death: but how is it in fact? Eccles. ii. 16. “How dieth the wise man? even as the fool.”
9. All wicked men’s pains and contrivance which they use to escape hell, while they continue to reject Christ, and so remain wicked men, do not secure them from hell one moment. Almost every natural man that hears of hell, flatters himself that he shall escape it; he depends upon himself for his own security; he flatters himself in what he has done, in what he is now doing, or what he intends to do. Every one lays out matters in his own mind how he shall avoid damnation, and flatters himself that he contrives well for himself, and that his schemes will not fail. They hear indeed that there are but few saved, and that the greater part of men that have died heretofore are gone to hell; but each one imagines that he lays out matters better for his own escape than others have done. He does not intend to come to that place of torment; he says within himself, that he intends to take effectual care, and to order matters so for himself as not to fail. Two lawmen walked into the Wild West and became legends long before history decided what to call them. Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson were not born famous—they earned their reputations one dusty town at a time. Earp, steady and watchful, moved through places like Dodge City and Tombstone carrying the calm of a man who understood danger too well.
Masterson, sharp-dressed and quick-thinking, balanced the badge with the instincts of a gambler and journalist. Together, they stood in a frontier where law and chaos lived side by side, and survival often depended on who kept their nerve when everyone else lost theirs.
Their friendship formed in the rough world of cattle towns, saloons, and long nights where arguments could turn deadly without warning. Wyatt Earp gained lasting fame after the gunfight near the O.K. Corral in 1881, an event that forever tied his name to frontier justice. Bat Masterson built his own reputation as a sheriff, buffalo hunter, and later a respected newspaper columnist in New York City. Both men walked different paths, yet shared the same strange balance of myth and reality—praised as heroes by some, criticized by others, but always remembered as figures who shaped the story of the American West. They survived gunfights, political rivalries, and the constant uncertainty of a changing nation trying to replace frontier violence with order.
As the years passed, the West they knew faded into memory, replaced by railroads, cities, and modern law. Wyatt Earp lived long enough to see himself become a legend, dying in 1929,

while Bat Masterson passed away in 1921 at his desk, still writing about the world he once rode through. Their lives remind us that history is rarely simple—two men, part lawmen, part survivors, forever caught between truth and legend. And when we look back at Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson, the question still lingers: were they symbols of justice… or simply men doing whatever it took to survive the wildest chapter of American history?

I was sitting at the counter at Dunkin Donuts, back when they actually had one, coffee in a heavy China mug, contemplating the days work, finished, and heading home. Just waiting on the traffic to die down.
When a riding buddy pulled in on his very cool 57 straight bar Panhead chopper. He ordered a coffee & a donut, sat down beside me and we began the bullshit.
It didnt take long, before he asked me for a favor. He was good at that. He had a line on an old police bike in the city, and he had the money, but no way to pick it up, since he’d wrecked his rusty Ford Ranchero, a week before. We discussed how the bike might fit in the back seat of my 4 door 61 Ford. I used the old car like a truck, had no back seat, and with my short legs the front seat was as far foward as it would go. I asked if the bike was a swingarm, he said it was. A big heavy old Hog it was. We decided to go for it. With a hank of rope, and my road box of tools, he made the phone call, set the time frame, for later that evening, and we set off for East Boston, with scribbled directions, even he himself had trouble reading.
So after a few times being lost in the old town, we found the triple decker tenement house we were looking for. And the al-

most impossible task of retrieving the 59 Duoglide from the wet basement it was nested in.
He paid 300 bucks to the kid that owned it, as his father had passed away not long ago. Days before titles, a bill of sale, money passed, and the stringy kid was off to feed his arm. Boy, was that a struggle, we had to remove the drive chain, as it was rusted solid, the tires mostly flat, and the bike half apart. But we were youngsters and determined. Out at the curb, I opened both rear doors, and we removed the handle bars, and hefted the front end in, from the right side. As far in as it would go, we got together and lifted, pushed, cursed the rear end partially into the car, but not all the way, neither doors would close. Thats where the rope came in handy, a 20ft piece of closeline, back when people actually hung out the wash to dry.
We opened both rear door windows and passed the rope thru the car, tied both doors together against the bike, which was hanging out of both sides of the car. It was loaded, it was dark, it was a well worn beater of a bike, but to us, raggedy bikers, it was a Panhead. ~Ken Bradway (Yes I know it’s a Shovel below)

O.K., here’s the plan. Gas up the bike and point her towards I95. A twenty minute blast straight up the intestate to Hwy. 40 in Ormond Beach. Caught the red light at the exit, as usual. Left onto 40 and chased it to it’s second traffic light. Leaned it to the right just enough to line her up onto Timber Creek Rd.
Followed that to it’s second traffic light as well. Another right lean onto Airport Rd. and just kicked back a bit and enjoyed a leapfrog over I95 followed by a handful of curves and light hills. Love this short ride, short but very quiet and picturesque. Never much traffic. This short roll will end at US1. Caught the red light as usual, again!
Left lean this time and before you can say “Where are we going”? we’re there. The Beaver Bar. No, not for cocktails, way too early for that. It’s for their $7.50 breakfast buffet, times two of coarse. Seems only fair that since the bike’s tank is full we should fill our tanks also. Done and Done! Made 30 or 45 minutes disappear, climbed back aboard the scoot and North was the direction of choice.
Put half a dozen miles or so behind us and landed in the Destination Daytona parking lot for their monthly swap meet. Don’t typically buy anything but we just love to look around. And, it’s a great way to walk off some of that delicious breakfast! Nothing really grabbed our eye but we did bump into a couple of friends. Jeff, who we met and

have ridden with for several years, or there about. Strolled around a bit longer and ran smack dab into Ray. Another riding friend, same time frame. Always great to run into friendly faces wherever we go! Too early for the band to start so we climbed aboard again and reversed coarse, to the Iron Horse Saloon for a bloody and a mimosa. It’s kind of become a Sunday tradition for us. Thank You, Lisa!
Still have some time before the band hits the stage so we decided to make a break for “The Loop”. If you love a canopy covered road with twists and turns abound, this is a must! Been riding this little slice of Heaven for a couple of decades now. Incredible! Through a part of the loop and made our way back to US1 right where the White Eagle used to live. Around another one of those silly Roundabouts, made it about three quarters of the way around that Merry Go Round and it spit us out right onto the Southbound lane on US1. Alright, south it is! “Let’s hit the swap meet again”, she said. “I want to look at some long sleeve T shirts I saw there”. Her command is my wish.
I guess it was later then we thought, T shirt vendor was gone. Back to the Iron Horse to grab some vibes from the band, Gun Shy. Great Vibes! Hung there just long enough to wet our whistles, a couple of times and headed up to Saints and Sinners, (Destination Daytona), for some Big Engine sounds! Not car engines, Big Engine was the band. Seems as though we’ve going in circles! Beaver Bar, Iron Horse, Saints and Sinners, Iron Horse, and came to rest back at Destination Daytona?! Doesn’t matter though. Weather was Great, bands were Awesome, ride couldn’t have been better, even though we were going.............. Round and Round. Gregg Riggle
