I had another episode with my heart, had to go to the ER and the next day (I think), I had the heart cath done and they put in another stent (which makes about 10 now), but couldn’t get the balloon through another stopped up artery, so he just left it alone. ( My old cardiologist wouldn’t have given up, but he retired.) He said my heart was creating natural by passes on it’s on now. That’s great, as I’ve been dealing with this since ’98, and I know some of you recall back in ‘10 were another cardiologist gave me a year to live without a heart transplant.

My hospital stay was pure HELL, as my sciatica was at a full 10+ and with it, what felt like kidney punches for 3 days, I could not lay in that bed, without them knocking me out. Which lasted about 2 1/2 hours before I woke back up and again the pain in my lower back was huge. On the 3rd day I told them I was going home and gave them a deadline to get me out of there, if not, my wife would remove the IV’s and I’m walking out, brothers & sisters I was serious as I couldn’t lay in that kind of bed any longer. They beat my deadline by 3 hours!!! *********** No I didn’t Sell or Give the magazine away!

It was in the late 1860s, during a cattle drive through the wild heart of Texas, that Texas Jack Omohundro came upon a scene of devastation—a wagon train ambushed, settlers massacred, their dreams ended beside a riverbank.

Among the wreckage, Jack found no survivors, only grim silence. He rode hard for help, returning with a cavalry detachment and quickly picking up a trail that led to a nearby Comanche camp. In the chaos of the raid, three children were discovered alive. One of them—a frightened boy with no memory of his name—would later say, “I was first discovered amongst a band of Indians… my parents were massacred by the Indians… on their way to the West.”

Texas Jack brought the children to safety, placing them on captured ponies and riding back to the fort. When he asked the boy his name, the child hesitated, then simply asked Jack’s name in return. “Texas Jack,” the cowboy replied.

After a pause, the boy nodded, “Me too.” Jack placed him in an orphanage, sold the ponies to help fund their care, and the boy took the only name he’d ever been given: Texas Jack, Junior. As he grew, Jack Jr. followed in his rescuer’s footsteps—not on the frontier, but under the big top. He became a Wild West showman, touring America, Europe, Australia, and Africa, bringing cowboy myth to life Chops 12

for audiences around the globe.

It was in South Africa in 1902 that a young man named Will Rogers walked into Jack Jr.’s showground and asked for work. Jack handed him a rope and watched as the boy spun it with natural ease. Impressed, he hired him and dubbed him “The Cherokee Kid.” That moment launched Rogers’s career—and left another legacy in Jack Jr.’s long, winding tale.

Though his life was filled with myth, marriage, heartbreak, and worldwide travels, Texas Jack Junior remained true to the story that began with tragedy and turned into legend.

He died in 1905, leaving everything to his daughter Hazel.

He wasn’t born with a name, but he lived it proudly, carrying the spirit of the cowboy who had once rescued him— and making sure the world never forgot Texas Jack. ******************** Discovered in 1989, this extraordinary photograph offers one of the most authentic glimpses we have of James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok in his prime. Dressed in the unmistakable garb of a frontier legend, Hickok wears leather leggings—standard protective gear for long hours on horseback through the rugged terrain of the American West. Slung low around his hips is a gunbelt worn outside his coat, a signature of his style, from which Chops 13

protrude his iconic pair of Colt Navy revolvers. Positioned for a cross-draw, these pistols weren’t just for show—they were tools of survival, wielded with deadly precision.

Hickok’s wide-brimmed hat casts a shadow over his steely gaze, while his ruffled shirt and ever-present vest lend him an air of rugged elegance. His fashion sense was no accident; Wild Bill understood the power of image long before celebrity culture took hold. Whether walking the dusty streets of Abilene or sitting for a studio portrait, he dressed the part of the myth he was becoming. Every detail in this photograph—from the carefully chosen clothing to the relaxed, confident pose—tells the story of a man who straddled the line between gunfighter and folk hero.

But when her brother shot and killed her fiancé, scandal drove her from the genteel life she’d known.

Though Carver admired Ena deeply and longed to make her his wife, his thirst for fame and careless streak clashed with Ena’s desire for a peaceful home. She refused his proposals and instead found unexpected love with David Ballantine, a successful rancher and rising statesman. They married in 1875 and built a happy, if brief, life together— raising children, managing land, and embracing a future grounded in love. Yet tragedy returned in 1882, when David died in a train accident. Ena, widowed at 33, grieved but pressed on, later marrying Washington McClary, a longtime friend and ranch foreman. Just as joy seemed to return, fate struck again—Ena was killed in a wagon accident while pregnant, her life cut short at 34.

Though her years were few, Ena Palmer’s legacy runs deep. Her journals, preserved in the Ballantine Family Collection at History Nebraska, reveal a life shaped by fire and grace—of wild ponies, moonlit rivers, heartbreak, and hard-earned peace. Known variously as Annie, Ena Raymonde, Pa-He-Minny-Minnsh, and Mrs. Ballantine, she remains a luminous figure of the post-Civil War frontier.

Through her words, she continues to speak—to remind us of the women who stood, often quietly, in the shadows of legends, yet left a mark all their own. ************ Think you know the Wild West? Born in Virginia and raised with a rifle in hand, he served as a scout and spy during the Civil War before heading west to work cattle and ride with legends like Wild Bill Hickok. It was at Fort McPherson, Nebraska, where he met Buffalo Bill, and the two became fast friends and fearless scouts.

Jack saved Cody’s life in a firefight with the Miniconjou Sioux and guided Russian royalty and European aristocrats across the wild plains. He Chops 18

More refined than Wild Bill and more grounded than Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack was a rare blend of rugged authenticity and quiet charm. He married famed ballerina Giuseppina Morlacchi, performed to sold-out crowds, and still returned to the wilderness to hunt, guide, and write. When Custer fell, Jack picked up his rifle again and scouted for the U.S. Army. The *Brooklyn Daily Eagle* called him “genuine manhood, braced by intellect,” and that legacy still echoes today. Every cowboy hero that came after— from screen idols to western novel stars—owes a debt to Texas Jack, the man who didn’t just play the cowboy, but *was* the cowboy. “I was raised in a place where a guy who was kinda deformed, and couldn’t talk plain, was made to live out in back of his parents’ house. They fed him like a dog,” said Billy Bob Thornton in an interview about Sling Blade with Salon, which he directed, wrote, and starred in.

The film, which earned Thornton the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, was based on his own short story - Some Folks Call It a Sling Blade - which was itself semiautobiographical.

Thornton remembers part of the inspiration for the story came from his childhood and a boy with polio who was mistreated and labeled as the “devil’s child” because of his deformities.

“The mother thought he came out the way he did - and he struggled, just to walk - [because] she was scared by a snake when she was pregnant, and it caused him to come out like that - he was the devil’s child. It turned out he had polio. That’s all it was. That’s where I got the setup for where Karl [Childers] comes from.”

However, Childers was a blend of other people Thornton had known while growing up. “I’ve told the story a billion times about how I was making faces at myself in the mirror and came up with the character, which is also true, but that’s such a surface thing.

“That’s not really what it’s about. The humble, politically correct thing to say about Sling Blade is that ‘oh, I worked in the theater on the character, and developed it over the years,’ but the deeper thing is that I’m the kid in Sling Chops 20

Blade.

“Ninety percent of the stuff in Sling Blade really happened.

I’ve seen way more than I want to see in my lifetime, and I think Sling Blade was a way for me to regain some security and some innocence about my past, and the things I’ve seen. That’s what appeals to me about Karl. I feel more comfortable being Karl than I do myself. I like being Karl.

I like it a lot.”

Thornton wrote the Sling Blade script largely by hand, drawing on the unique blend of humor and tragedy characteristic of Southern writing. Despite Hollywood’s general disinterest in such challenging material, Thornton managed to get the film made on a modest $1 million budget, with financing from the independent production company Shooting Gallery.

At 40, Franz Kafka (18831924), who never married and had no children, was walking through a park one day in Berlin when he met a girl who was crying because she had lost her favourite doll. She and Kafka searched for the doll unsuccessfully.

Kafka told her to meet him there the next day and they would come back to look for her.

The next day, when they had not yet found the doll, Kafka gave the girl a letter “written” by the doll saying “please don’t cry. I took a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures.”

Thus began a story which continued until the end of Kafka’s life.

During their meetings, Kafka read the letters of the doll carefully written with adventures and conversations that the girl found adorable.

Finally, Kafka brought back the doll (he bought one) that had returned to Berlin.

“It doesn’t look like my doll at all,” said the girl.

Kafka handed her another letter in which the doll wrote: “my travels have changed me.” The little girl hugged the Chops 22

new doll and brought the doll with her to her happy home.

A year later Kafka died.

Many years later, the now-adult girl found a letter inside the doll. In the tiny letter signed by Kafka it was written: “Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way.”

From Ancient Star In the unforgiving deserts and mountains of the American Southwest, the Apache developed one of history’s most impressive physical feats—endurance running.

Covering up to 80 miles in a single day, (THIS IS HARD TO BELIEVE, COCHISE) Apache warriors could traverse rugged terrain faster than cavalry, often vanishing into canyons or peaks before their pursuers knew what hit them.

This wasn’t sport. It was survival.

Boys were trained from a young age, sometimes forced to run long distances while holding water in their mouths— training breath control and mental discipline. Their diet included energy-rich foods like mescal and mesquite beans, and they traveled light, often carrying little more than a knife and some dried meat.

Their footwear? Moccasins or rawhide sandals—perfect for navigating rocky ground at speed.

The ride has been interesting to say the least. There are days that business is great and there are times it is a struggle. We have had our bumps in the road, but through it all my Wife, Diana Lynn Seager has been steadfast. She has been my rock. I don’t give her the credit she deserves. She kicks my butt and puts me in check when I jump the tracks but she has stuck by me through it all.

I have learned a lot on how to run a business as well as how not to. Along this journey we have taken Everything Biker Consignment & More ...........................

1967 - Pink Floyd Pink Floyd made their first appearance on BBC TV music show Top Of The Pops to promote their new single ‘See Emily Play’. A badly damaged home video recording recovered by the British Film Institute of this show was given a public screening in London on 9th January 2010 at an event called “Missing Believed Wiped” devoted to recovered TV shows. It was the first time any footage was seen of the performance since its original broadcast.

You Ever Get “BRAIN ZAPS”? I Do, So I looked Them Up That Causes These Little Electronic Pulses That Come About When You Move Your Eyes From Left To Right, Or Quick Head Movements!!!

The cause of medication related head and brain zaps!

Experiencing head and brain zaps is a common adverse reaction from prescription medications, including antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications. This symptom is also commonly associated with withdrawing from these types of medications.

Some medications are more notorious for this symptom than others. For example, benzodiazepines (Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, Clonazepam, etc.), SSRIs (Lexapro, Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, etc.), SNRIs (Effexor, etc.), Cymbalta, and sleep medications are commonly associated with head and brain zaps.

The cause of head and brain zaps is not completely understood. But the common belief is that these types of medications affect how the brain functions, including the brain’s neurons, which are nerve cells that have an electrochemical makeup (a combination of electricity and chemistry). As the brain adjusts to and away from these types of medications, it can experience involuntary reactions, which result in a zap, buzz, or jolt feeling.

The good news is that these zaps aren’t harmful and disappear as the body stabilizers or breaks free from the medication. If you are experiencing head and brain zaps related to a medication, you should discuss it with your doctor and Chops 66

Fortunately, these zaps disappear when the medication has been discontinued and the body has had sufficient time to adjust.

It’s important to note that even if you’ve been taking the same medication for a long time, you can still experience brain zaps from it. Sometimes this is just how the body reacts to these medications even though the medication hasn’t caused a problem in the past.

Head and brain zaps are also common when taking multiple medications due to how the multiple medications can interact with each other and the body.
