Take A Ride South On Route 1 To Mims, FL For Whatever You Need These Men Are Good People ~ Cochise

US drug overdoses reached almost 110,000 deaths in 2022, preliminary data show, a 2% rise from 2021; experts say data show signs of plateauing after a 30% increase between 2019 and 2020 Chops 5

Three people murdered in Daytona, and by who? BY A FELON, A FELON WITH A GUN! How in the world, liberal democrats, did a felon get a weapon? Yes I am being facious, and do not mean to be unkind to the families of the victims, but would it have been a different scenerio if the 4th man, the one who got away, or any of the victims were armed also? I think so! This BS isn’t going to change until we citizens empower ourselves with “our” Cocstitution to help protect our neighbors, with or without a weapon. I don’t want to hurt anyone, but if I saw what went down, I would have to have helped protect them. ********** So on this weekly TV “PROGRAM”, called Reelz, I think, it is taking the place of the now defunct “Cops” show, (which I hated), is casting a HUGE Bad Light on our community. Nothing is ever positive, ONLY negative, These people really are making us “The Most Famous Beach In America”, with their BS, overreaching nonsense. Maybe one day they’ll do a show on what bikers do here, as far as raising buque money for others, with Poker Runs and such. Perhaps one day they’ll be in town and see one of these runs, like the one a few of my friends did for St. Jude, were they raised over $42,000 for those babies with cancer, an event put on by Scott DeMonico, Sherry Fletcher and others. I’d prefer seeing that and the interviews of those involved instead of a drunk wife and a stoned husband verbally fighting in the street. I’m sure the city is being paid quiet well, but Mr. Mayor and his court, what are you really doing to bring tourist to Daytona? Because, this “program” (that programs the watcher’s minds), would cause me to NOT come here, as it would many watching!!! Think about it and make phone calls to Derrick Henry!

Day 1: After a delay with yet another oil pump problem in the twin cam engine, (that I just bought), Doom Town Choppers got me back together to pull out today, June 23rd for my trip to Virginia to hang out with Pastor G & Ms. Sandy Williams and to preach at The Home Church in Dayton. Though I had planned on leaving early Thursday morning, waiting on the repair to my motor, pushed it back to Friday, and instead of early AM, it was now 1:30pm. After fueling up at WaWa’s on ISB, and eating a banana, for breakfast, it was 2pm when I hit I-95 North. (Thank you Doom Town Choppers for your persistence in getting me rolling. If it wasn’t for you guys, I would have to use Plan B, my 1996 Softtail, which I have 100% confidence in it making it, but there is nothing soft about it’s ride. So thank you, thank you, thank you Darien, Bob & Chris for working overtime for me & the good Lord.) Some people hate the interstate and it’s NOT my preferred way of traveling, but I make the best of it and believe me or not, as it doesn’t matter to me, I can still take in a lot of scenery on the big road, and I can still smell the good things in life, like Orange Blossoms or Honeysuckles, or aromas from the vent from a local restaurant, scrapple. yum! It also helps me to get to where I’m going much sooner than on US 41 or US 601, so with all that in mind, I made the best of what was left of the day. I rolled all the way up to Bylthville, SC before deciding to spend the night there. I was going to do to Salisbury, NC, but I called ahead and they were all filled up for that night, so since I was already here, for a gas stop, I just camped out, about 70 miles or more South of Charlotte, NC. When I left Florida, the ride was smooth and uneventful all the way to the GA line, on 95. From there all the way up to I-26 West, it rained on me, but for some reason it wasn’t bothering me, only the Chops 7

God’s Corner I was once told that I talk to much about politics & Jesus in the magazine, and I agreed, somewhat. Back in ‘12 & ‘13 I was very adament about my dislike of Obama, and I did attack his character in CHOPS. I think he deserved it 100%. As far as Jesus goes, I’ve always had, since Issue #1, a God’s Corner. What many didn’t realize, that back then I had just rededicated my life to His ways, because though I was still doing some street minister, I was very much backslid on my calling. In April 1985 I knew the Lord wanted me to be a minister, so in Sept. of ‘85 I was ordained into the Christian Gospel Minister, so I went off to college at 30 years old and dug deep in God’s word. My professors were godly men and they taught me well, but I never fit in with the status quo of being a regular pastor, which I tried for 6 years, So I struck out doing what God personally wanted me to do, reach out to the average person, with whom I knew & understood, like bikers. I’ve tried my best to reach the folks who wouldn’t go to a standard church house. Anyway, doing what I do, is my job, just plain and simple. Be blessed brothers & sisters!!! You may tire of hearing me, but I’m trying to do the best job I can do as a Christian minister. Come visit me at Willie’s every 4th Sunday!

dumb azz drivers did. You know the ones, in the left lane running 45 mph with their 4 way flashers on. I mean if I can see on a motorcycle, surely you can see in your car/truck. I don’t know where this nonsense started, but it’s stupid as hell in it’s self. Basically, you have become a “road hazzard” when you do such. I love the bumper sticker that says, “If I Have To Pass You On The Right You Are An Azzhole”, yes you are! From I-26 to I-77 North, it was a very pleasant ride, and as it was getting a little later in the day, so I started chasing the sunset, and with the country smells in the air, plus the sunset, I got in the zone, almost missing the I-77 North exit. I-77 was like the rest of the ride, non congested, but again all the left lane drivers, grrrrrr!!!! But as I pulled off for gas in SC, I got a room and a sandwhich and kicked out for the day. Day 2, Saturday the 24th! Nice weather and it’s Saturday, so traffic should be light and it was, until the State Police totally shut down the big road at Charlotte, what a mess! Someone said the “Giggler” was visiting and since she is the VP of the USA, I guess they justified such a thing, BUT wow. There were NO detour signs and semis, God bless them, along with the rest of us had no idea were to go. The only positive for me was I got to see downtown Charlotte up close and personal, the bad news, I thought my bike and my right leg were going to burn up, just sitting, but they didn’t. After I got around the closed road and back on I-77, the traffic got nasty. Two lanes, semi’s in the right, the stupid in the left, and running under the speed limit, as usual. All the way up 77 to I-81 it was a maze, a confusing mess and causing my BP to rise, very. very high. I was so aggrevated, that I let it get to me to much, that when I stopped for gas, I never even exited the bike, just pumped and go, which I do a lot, but what I was doing different, was I didn’t have Chops 10

water with me and wasn’t buying any, so I got dehydrated, NOT GOOD!!! I thought I remembered how to get to The Home Church, but wasn’t 100% sure, so I got a tad turned around and had to stop to ask directions. I am always amazed how many people that I stop to ask to point me in the correct direction, doesn’t know where anything is or they don’t live there, weird. I finally saw a Southern States convenient store, knowing these folks had to be locals and KNOW where the place I was looking for, was, so I pulled right up front, dropped the kick stand, and started to get off on the right side of the Road King when my pants leg, which had cuffed up while I was riding, got caught in the rear foot peg, that had fallen down in route, thus I too fell down, HARD. I may have been able to catch myself with my hands, but instead I rolled to my right and landed on my right hip, knee and elbow causing a little blood to develop on my pants leg and my shirt, my beautiful bright new flannel shirt. The good news, was the store was closed and no one saw me bust my butt, LOL. So I remounted and just kept rolling, (after a young man pointed me to keep going the way I was headed, from his car window), and somehow I happened up on the building, which was now 30 minutes into the service (I wasn’t preaching that night, but I wanted to get there to hear Pastor Brian Cole, another invited speaker), but they stopped the service till I got in and seated. When asked to stand for prayer, I felt like I was going to fall, and had to seat myself. Very weird!!! Great News is, I lead 2 men to the saving knowledge & power of Jesus Christ. Both were broken, humbled and full of faith, which is how we get saved. And for those who, back in 2017 helped me get this ‘05 Road King, people from Set Free Daytona, the church I started here, after my 1998 Road King was stolen (it still pisses me off, grrrrrr), be it known brothers and sisters, you took a part in these being saved and all those who were over the week. Thank you!!! Later that night or earlier that morning, about 3am, BAD leg cramps woke me up and when I got out of bed to do the “cramp stomp & stretch”, you know what I’m talking about if you have ever had them, Chops 11

and guess what, I fell, I fell real HARD!!! What the heck? I normally get cramps, if my blood sugar is high, but it wasn’t, then what? Dehydrated!!! I had a miserable night, but started pouring down the glasses of water, which made me awake every hour to pee, LOL, and eating a banana that I had in my bag, which helps with the cramps, BUT raises my sugar. Sometimes you just can’t win. But I was there, a bit bruised, tired but alive and so happy about those men we got to lead to the Lord, Amen! Sunday morning of Day #3 I was to co-preach with Brian on the creek bank at 10am, with a baptism to follow. One of the ladies who was about to be immersed (the biblical way), wanted me to help with her being dunked. She wanted all 4 pastors baptizing her, okay. Man, the temperture of that water in that mountain creek was in the 50’s and I wasn’t looking forward to it, but waded out to where my shorts barely touched the water, did I tell you it was COLD!!! Ater the sermons, we had a few more “saved”, amen, before we, “they”, the other 3 pastors, immersed “26” people, WOW!!! PTL!!! What can I say, but praise God and I thank Him for allowing me to take part in this Revival!!! The rest of the day we rested, as I rehydrated and eat some of the best home cooking imaginable. Country folks can not only survive, but cook as well. This was my 4th time preaching at their church, I guess they like me, (I wish I was more excepted here), and I feel I am family there, but they treat me like a king, seriously. I love them greatly. The cramps now subsided and I got a good night’s rest! Day #4, Monday!!! It rained all day, so I studied, prepared, caught up on text messages & calls, before going to Pastor G’s den to start watching the new series called, The Chosen. I haven’t watched it all, but I liked it, though a watcher probably needs some biblical knowledge to help them understand it better, but I recommend it. By the way we had another great service that night. Day #5 June 27th! More rain, so I pretty well duplicated the previous day! The crowd at church that night was real good. I love these people, and again the food was over the top! Chops 12

June 28th, Day #6! More rain and kind of chilly, so a repeat of Monday & Tuesday, and that’s ok, cause I got to spend good quality time with the pastor and his wife. That night, during the message, I started stuttering and started having some chest pains. So I sit down and gave the service to G. I’m not for sure what happened during invitation, but the altar was full. Day #7, my last day here! More rain, so I followed the previous day’s pattern. After the service I said good bye to my VA family, and then ate a great meal, breakfast for dinner, in other words, biscuits and gray or you could chose chipped (SOS) beef for your bread. Thank you Ms. Diane Howell. I went to bed early so I could get up and pack, and pull out as early as possible. Day #8, Friday June 30th, 2023! When I travel, I check the weather in all the major towns I will be traveling through, that day it would be Wheeling, WV, Lexington & Louisville, KY and each report was 50% chance of rain. I hit I-81 South for a few miles before getting I-64 West. Rain or no rain, I am now on my way to see my NEW Great Grandson, CJ, and getting wet wasn’t gonna slow me down, but guess what? No rain all day!!!! Here is what I posted on Face Funk about this day: I rode about 625 miles yesterday. From Dayton VA to Utica KY. I tell you that, to say this, it was the best long ride I can ever remember. It was a great day, after an incredible week.

Chops 13

I left the Dayton area at about 9am. The weather report In every large city I was to pass through called for 50% chance of rain all the way. I told someone, that’s ok cause it’s 50% chance I won’t hit any, and I didn’t , PTL! 1st stop, 145 miles later, in Lake (?), WV. It had been a chilly ride to there, but I was making great time. 2nd gas stop was 160 miles ahead in Ashland, KY. The sun came out in Beckly, WV. It felt so good and though it was partly cloudy, the mixture was important, because it warmed up yet the clouds kept my skin from burning. It was an uneventful ride other than the two toll booths on the interstate in WV, how weird is that? I’m now halfway to seeing my great grandson. Around 162 miles I again pulled off I 64 in Shelbyville, KY for a fresh tank of 93 octane. I grabbed a McDonalds fish sandwich and a bottle of water, sucked them down and was gone. Bros and Sis’s, the ride was going perfect. It was easy getting through Lexington but Louisville was fast approaching, BUT no problem at all. Hammer Down!!! I arrived here in Utica at 5:30pm! Three miles from my daughters house, so I stopped to get my grands a small token of my love for them, some fruity Mentos, which they loved, and refilled my gas tank. What a beautiful finally to an awesome day of riding, as when I pulled up to the house, everyone was gathered on the front porch waving to their Poppa. By the way, not one drop of rain ever hit me. My average miles per hour was unbelievable!!! And the ending to this Chops 14

memorable ride/day was breaking bread, 5 Hunts Bros Pizza LOL, with the whole family, except Jockey Shift Joe, who was working, which included my GREAT GRANDSON, CJ, BAM!!! If Momma and Sugar Baby had been here, well, it would have been Double BAM!!! BIG LOVE, Cochise I was in KY until July 4th, (Oh what a GREAT time I had with my children, g-babies & Mr. CJ), when I pulled out to head home to Daytona Beach. I was 825 miles away & decided to stay on the road one night, but I had a clear “dry” shot home on the 4th, while rain was being called for on the 5th, in places I had to travel through, so I did do it all in one day, with zero problems, (I cruised right through Chattanooga & Atlanta, I couldn’t believe it. I never even had to slow down, much less stop. So holidays are a great time to travel I-75! and I really enjoyed ever mile of it.) I had to get home as I had a heart cath scheduled for the 6th. It was needed, but I was exposed to covid while there for the 8 hours or so. And like the last time, in 2020, it kicked my old autoimmune butt! I checked into Halifax at 5:30am to get ready for the Cath. It was about 7:30am when the surgical team came out to get me, and the investigation began. Though I was kind of drugged, I barely remember Dr. Wilson saying I had a stint collapse or stop back up, I’m not sure, and they either replaced it or something. Now back out into the heart department at 9am, I had to lay flat on my back, with legs completely straight for 5 or 6 hours, which I did. The drugs (?) helped, as I slept for about 4 of those hours. They wanted me to stay overnight, but I chose to come home. It was about 3pm now, and I had a severe headache, something I don’t get much of and I felt like I could still feel Chops 15

the scope or wire up inside my heart. Now I’ve had approximately 13 Caths, so I know how they feel, and it wasn’t feeling correctly or as usual. The next day, my heart doctor or his office told me to go to the ER, so I did. I checked in about 5:30pm. I still had the headache and that weird feeling in my chest. Around 7pm they tell me I tested positive for covid, of course you know, when that happens, they forget about all the other ailments that brought you there. So after being there 6 hours and not seeing a doctor, I told them I was leaving. They gave me some Moltrin and a bag of IV stuff, because they said I was dehydrated, so what’s new? So, B and I left. They did give me 2 prescriptions, one for covid and the other for a cough I continually had now. I finally tested negative on the 17th, but because I was still coughing, I just stayed in as I did not want to spread anything. All I want to say is this, “That stuff, because of my autoimmune problem, psoriatic arthritis, it kicks my butt.” The last time I had it, I wasn’t right for nine months, I know, “Still Not”, LOL This time it wasn’t as bad, kind of like having the flu, but it still slowed me down in what I want to do. I’ll never call anyone lazy ever again, until I know exactly what they are fighting against. The autoimmune thing keeps me so fatigued, and believe it or not, the only time I really feel good is when I am riding my bike. I think it’s because I’m getting good air continuously, what do you think? So, that’s a good enough reason to ride, right? LOL Hope this didn’t bore you too bad! Be blessed, Cochise Mark your calendars for Sept. 4th, Labor Day for The Blue Plate Special/Shovel Show @ The Boot Hill Saloon on Main St. It’s from 2pm till 4pm. You DO NOT have to own or ride to come party. Yes, it’s going to be HOT, but push that thought to the side and come on out. It’s the best show/party anywhere local, outside Bike Week. The show is open to any bike that is eligible for a Florida Blue License Plate. That’s 30 years old and older. Shovelheads will have special parking out front, and maybe a few others. Just come on out and we’ll all get along & parked, as I’ve never been a big stickler on rules!!! Chops 16

After Katrina hit New Orleans back in 2005, things changed here in Central Florida especially in Orlando! In 2004, Orlando had 24 homicides, after the “displaced” people were sent here, the number of homicides increased big time, even in the later part of ‘05, but in 2006, there was 24 homicides in Orlando in the 1st quarter. This also happned in the Houston area. Here are a few facts I found online:

Violent crime rate in “2004” Orlando: “448.7” U.S. Average: 223.6 Property crime rate in 2004 Orlando: 374.8 U.S. Average: 327.4 Violent crime rate in 2005 Orlando: “462.9” U.S. Average: 227.1 Property crime rate in 2005 Orlando: 392.7 U.S. Average: 322.3 Violent crime rate in 2006 Orlando: “1,063.1” U.S. Average: 232.6 Property crime rate in 2006 Orlando: 783.5 U.S. Average: 317.3 Violent crime rate in 2007 Orlando: “1,013.3” U.S. Average: 229.1 Property crime rate in 2007 Orlando: 805.4 U.S. Average: 309.2

OLD SCHOOL!!! The Walker County Buzzard WALKER COUNTY LAKE CATFISH TOURNAMENT ANGLERS CRYING FOUL AFTER 70 YEAR OLD WOMAN WINS TOURNAMENT WITH A CANE POLE AND A ZIPLOCK BAG FULL OF GRAVY TRAIN JASPER - Participants in the annual Walker County Lake Catfish Tournament are crying foul tonight after a 70 year old Jasper woman bested the next closest competitor by 12 lbs while using nothing but a cane pole, and Gravy Train dog food as bait. One competitor with whom we spoke had this to say, “I have the very best catfishing equipment that money can buy, the best boat, the best rods, the best electronics. There ain’t no way that old lady beat me with a stick and some dog food, no way. Something smells fishy here, and it ain’t my stinkbait.” Others say that it is not unusual for “Ms. Minnie” as she is lovingly called by lake patrons to weigh in her limit at least five days a week. “Ms. Minnie sure can catch ‘em. She always leaves the lake with enough catfish, and shellcrackers to feed five people. Ms. Minnie wouldn’t cheat, those men just ain’t as good at fishing as they think they are.”

“I asked a friend who has crossed 70 and is heading towards 80 what sort of changes she is feeling in herself? She sent me the following: 1 After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, I have now started loving myself. 2 I have realized that I am not “Atlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders. 3 I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees. 4 I leave my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than I am. 5 I stopped telling the elderly that they’ve already narrated that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past. 6 I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection. 7 I give compliments freely and generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say “Thank You.” 8 I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances. 9 I walk away from people who don’t value me. They might not know my worth, but I do. 10 I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat and neither am I in any race. Chops 46

11 I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human. 12 I have learned that it’s better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas, with relationships, I will never be alone. 13 I have learned to live each day as if it’s the last. After all, it might be the last. 14 I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice. You can be happy at any time, just choose to be! I decided to share this with all my friends. Why do we have to wait to be 60 or 70 or 80, why can’t we practice this at any stage and age? Posted by Starlette Tolver, no source mentioned ********** My wife was sleeping next to me and suddenly I got a Facebook notification a woman asked me to add her. So I added her . I accepted the friend request and sent a message asking “Do we know each other?” She replied, “I heard you got married, but I still love you.” She was a friend from way back. She was looking very beautiful in the pic. I closed the chat and looked at my wife, she was sleeping soundly after her tiring day at work. Looking at her, I was thinking about how she feels so secure that she can sleep so comfortably in a brand new home with me. She’s away from her parents’ house, where she spent 24 years surrounded by her family. When she was upset or sad, her mother was there so she could cry on her lap. Her sister or brother would tell her jokes and make her laugh. Her dad would come home and bring her everything she liked and still, she trusted me so much. All these thoughts just crossed my mind so I grabbed the phone and pressed “BLOCK”. I turned to her and slept by her side. I’m a man, not a boy. I promised Chops 47

to be faithful to her and so it will be. I will fight forever to be a man who doesn’t cheat on his wife and doesn’t destroy a family..! ********** My Mom once told me that she walked into a room where a couple of friends were discussing her, they didn’t know she was there. She shook her head, smiled and walked away. My Mom also told me that she had a friend who talked bad about her, she never knew that Mom found out, Mom never mentioned it. She smiled and walked away from this friendship. She told me she had family who chose to shift her out of their life because she stood up for herself for a change. And because she stopped crossing oceans for them when they would not even help her cross a bridge. She smiled, shook her head and walked away. (This is what I do! I don’t whine about it, I don’t turn mean against them, I don’t bad mouth, I just walk away.....................in my old age, why? Because I’m worth it, and they........) So I asked her how she could just walk away from people that betrayed her while pretending to be her friends or family? She answered that every time she came to a crossroad like that, she had to decide who will be going forward on her journey with her. This showed her who she cannot take along with her. So she explained to me that you should never get mad at a person who betrays you, even in the name of friendship or family. Just gracefully bow out and enjoy your journey with all the new people God puts in their place. Some times, I don’t even bow out, I just stay, why? Because there is no sense running when you’re innocent. But they’re are some I do disassociate with, because they make my ire rise. I don’t deal with others, when I’m angry. I have close friends who I know have put me down, but I stay because God told me too, as I may one day be their salvation!!! Cochise Chops 48

Herman Lehmann (1859-1932) was a German immigrant who was captured, along with his younger brother Willie, by a band of Apache raiders in 1870 near Loyal Valley in southeastern Mason County, Texas. While his brother escaped captivity and returned home after 9 days, Herman was adopted by his Apache captor, Carnoviste. There he underwent tribal initiation and warrior training which would use him later in life when he joined war parties against the Texas Rangers, Comanches and Mexicans. After his adoptive father was killed, Herman killed an Apache medicine man and had to spend a year alone on the plains. At the expiration of his solitude he joined the Comanches, who called him Montechena and with whom he fought the Tonkawas and U.S. cavalry regiments. After the cessation of hostilities between the Comanches and the U.S, Herman settled down at the Fort Sill reservation where he was adopted by Quanah Parker. However, he was required to return to his family in 1878 after 8 years with the Natives, as he was a white captive. Back home Herman could not adapt to his old life, as he wouldn’t eat pork or sleep in a bed, wore body paint, leggings and feathers and attempted to kill the neighbor’s pigs and calves. After some time he relearned German, learned English and did numerous odd jobs. He married twice and had 5 children.

‘I had a fight with Davey Moore, Tyson told me he was there in the gallery. At the time Tyson was just a kid, nobody. But he was a fanatic of me. Tyson told me he was shadowboxing up there in the shadows, screaming, ‘Duran! Duran! Duran!’ Tyson told me that experience.’ Roberto Duran ‘Roberto Duran is my favorite fighter. When I saw Duran fight, he was just a street guy…Man, this guy is me, I thought. That was what I wanted to do. He was not ashamed of being who he was. I related to him as a human being. As my career progressed and people started praising me for being a savage, I knew that being called an animal was the highest praise I could receive from someone in the ring. I was ferocious and fearless like Duran.’ - Mike Tyson
