Living Quarters are programmed to accomodate students on retreats to enjoy sauna’s and the beach with changing rooms and showers along with the beach and ocean in which the site is set in. The path between the spaces is supposed to represent the rocky outcrop which is the rugged/orthogonal side of the retaining wall and the curvilinear side is supposed to represent the water and its nature. Fall 2019 Integrations 4th Year

Professor: Hansjoerg Goritz

Description: Located in Beacon, New York right off the Hudson River, the project focused on a museum filled with galleries and sculpture gardens and a plethora of other programmed elements integrated into the scheme such as a visitors center, ticketing lobby, lounge and lobby spaces on the main floor. Office spaces, lecture halls, a restaurant, and book store. The main idea behind the design was merging the exterior and interior spaces together while applying a louvre system that enveloped around the building, filtering light so that it does not damage the art work in the gallery spaces.
