Description: Observation Laboratory for asteroids set into a Scandanavian landscape. Program includes a bar, living quarters for scientists, observation telescope and dome, reception, and a theatre.







The goal or main idea driving this project was to spread out the program along a curvilinear path to intrigue one to stop for pause and to create awareness. With the observational sky dome being the focal point of the project with the media room right below for scientists to observe what they recorded while operating the telescope observing asteroids and the northern lights with living quarters, reception area, library, and a bar spread out along the path evenly distributed utilizes this Scandanavian site to its full potential

Professor: Scott WallProject 02- Rentable Living Quarters with Sauna’s set along the coast of a rocky outcrop overlooking the beach and ocean. Living Quarters are programmed to accomodate students on retreats to enjoy sauna’s and the beach with changing rooms and showers along with the beach and ocean in which the site is set in. The path between the spaces is supposed to represent the rocky outcrop which is the rugged/orthogonal side of the retaining wall and the curvilinear side is supposed to represent the water and its nature. Examples of Alvar Aalto’s work inspired this idea

Description: This project focused in on the problem Nashville has with keeping teachers because the city is getting too expensive for teachers to find affordable housing. Description: Located in Beacon, New York right off the Hudson River, the project focused on a museum filled with galleries and sculpture gardens and a plethora of other programmed elements integrated into the scheme such as a visitors center, ticketing lobby, lounge and lobby spaces on the main floor. Office spaces, lecture halls, a restaurant, and book store. The main idea behind the design was merging the exterior and interior spaces together while applying a louvre system that enveloped around the building, filtering light so that it does not damage the art work in the gallery spaces.
