Community Engagement
Is a proud sponsor
Kickoff Park and Recreation Month The services that park and recreation professionals provide are essential to building thriving communities. Together, we’re building and maintaining accessible, inclusive and sustainable parks and recreation programs that deliver powerful benefits to our communities. Park and recreation programs are vital for promoting community health and well-being. They foster lifelong friendships, create cherished memories, and strengthen family bonds that people treasure for years to come. During Park and Recreation Month, Cobb Parks will showcase our roles in building strong, vibrant, and resilient communities throughout the year, while also inviting community members to support us.
Let’s come together to share the many reasons we are indeed the perfect place to build and play together. While you are out and about at our parks, events and programs, support Park and Recreation Month on social media with these hashtags: #BuildTogetherPlayTogether #ParkandRecMonth #ParkandRecMonth2025
What Are We Building? Cobb Parks plays a vital role in the protection of our environment through green infrastructure, maintenance of public lands, preservation of wildlife habitats and more. In addition to helping connect people to nature, local parks create essential environmental stewards who advocate for and protect our most precious public resources — our land, water, trees, open spaces and wildlife.
