Celebrating the 2024 Harvest Ball
The Atlanta Debutante Club Harvest Ball celebrated its 113 th year with a formal presentation of 31 Atlanta debutantes at the Piedmont resentation of 45 Atlanta debutantes at the Piedmont Driving Club on November 24th, 2023.
The presentation began with the march of the escorts. Piedmont Driving Club President, T.Jackson Bender IV welcomed all debutantes, their families and friends. Each debutante wore a full length white formal gown and was presented along with her father or special family member. After the final presentation there was a grand promenade of the debutantes and their presenters. Following this the 2024
Debutante officers were announced. The officers are: Anne Alston Brady, president; Frances Greer Windom, vice president; Elizabeth Campbell Reid secretary; Holley Thomas Jackson, treasurer. At that time the 2023 president of the Atlanta Debutante Club, Elizabeth Merrick Sharpley, presented the golden rose of office to Anne Alston Brady. The debutantes and their presenters danced a formal waltz of music by the John Marsh Orchestra. Escorts joined middance to waltz with the debutantes. Dinner and dancing continued until after midnight.
The 2024 Atlanta Debutante Club will continue the tradition established many years ago ofgiving support to the Children’s
Healthcare of Atlanta. For 2024, the funds donated by the Atlanta Debutante Club will benefit the camps program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. At Children’s they believe every child deserves to experience the joys of summer camp, but also be part of a community which is why they offer weekend and weeklong camp opportunities for children with various medical and physical conditions and their families. The camps are specially designed and staffed so that these kids can not only take part, but be a part of a community of children who share similar experiences. All camps are 100% donor funded, so campers attend at no cost to their families.

On the evening of the 113 th year celebration of the Harvest Ball, BW Designs Inc, created anatmosphere that was filled with the fragrance and romance of old southern charm! The club was filled with rich green magnolias and hundreds of gardenias scattered throughout filling the rooms with fragrance. The tables were drawn with beautiful rose medallion bowls filled with fluffy white hydrangeas, fragrant Casablanca lilies, blush garden roses and blush spray roses. These table were finished out with four vintage ornate candlesticks filled with glowing ivory tapers, making the ballroom dance with candlelight!! Each of the debutantes presented carried a most charming bouquet of the most delicate shed off with pink roses and fragrant gardenias finished off with the prefect blush silk ribbon. It was an evening of enchantment.
