WHAT IS AN EPD?
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a standardised way of communicating information about the environmental impact of a product It is a document that provides detailed information about the life cycle of a product, including its environmental impact in areas such as energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and the use of raw materials.
EPDs should be verified by an independent third party, which helps to ensure that the information provided is accurate and reliable. The information in an EPD can be used to compare the environmental impact of different products, helping consumers and businesses make informed purchasing decisions.
It's important to note that EPDs are voluntary, and not all products have one, but it's a good way for companies to show transparency and commitment to the environment

HOW WE STACK UP
COAT paints are high quality acrylic, water-based decorative emulsions. Low odour, low VOC and B Corp certified, they have been developed to offer a durable, sustainable product with a richly pigmented, premium finish.

When leftover paint remains in the tin, COAT provides a take back scheme to recycle this unused paint and other empty tins The excess paint, the tin and handles are all re-cycled and re-processed
