Council to clear 'complex' slip

Aslip behind a property on Robinson Road has been assessed by Auckland Council's Healthy Waters experts and will be among the 15 most urgent floodrelated projects to be cleared.

Roughly 25 metres of the Councilcovenanted hillside came down in the Cyclone Gabrielle, sending a wall of vegetation and clay into Walsh Creek below. The creek is normally a trickle of water that feeds into the Rangitopuni Stream, but the slip dammed Walsh Creek causing water to build up behind it.
