Sophie Morales shows her Warrior pride along with other supporters on Saturday, Feb. 16, as the Carpinteria High School boys basketball team traveled to Los Angeles to face Oakwood in a CIF semi-final game. The Warriors have had a stellar season, culminating in their quarter-final victory over cross-town rival Cate on Valentine’s Day before falling to Oakwood in North Hollywood. Making the semi-finals qualifies CHS for a berth in the CIF State Championship tournament, to be announced on Sunday, Feb. 24. For more on the Carpinteria/Cate game see page 15.
