Canalino Elementary School student Melany Rosales examines the inside of fall’s most popular gourd at Carpinteria High School’s first ever pumpkin patch on Oct. 12. CHS Future Farmers of America students, along with teacher Noe A. Gomez, pictured, helped dozens of kids from Canalino, Aliso and Summerland schools pick the perfect pumpkin.
