Story poles on bluffs cause stir

Story poles are now up on the 23.4-acre parcel on the Carpinteria Bluffs, outlining the proposed Farm, Hospitality and Residential Project proposal. The controversial project – opposed strongly by Carpinterians who want the bluffs to remain undeveloped – would split the lot into three parts, with a 41-unit, low-income apartment complex, a 99-room resort and 9.47 acres of open space.
