







History will be made tonight as the Coastal Tsunami (2-0) host the Port Moody Panthers (1-2) for the first-ever regular season Junior hockey game on the Sunshine Coast.

The 2004-born forward from Coquitlam, BC is entering his second full season as the captain of the Port Moody Panthers. His PJHL career began during the 2021-22 season with the Panthers, and he tallied 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points in 37 games.
Since his rookie campaign, Hughes has suited up in 117 regular season games producing 61 goals and 77 assists for 138 points.
Hughes is now in his final season of junior hockey and has played in all three of his teams games to start the year.
The right-shot forward is off to the races with 4 goals and 4 asissts for 8 points in that short span.
The first-ever captain for the Tsunami is a 2004-born goaltender from Powell River, BC. Nick Peters was the first goaltender to commit with the organization and spent the past three seasons in the VIJHL with the Campbell River Storm
He posted a 2.46 GAA, .914 SV%, and five shutouts in 94 regular season games over the past three seasons. He had a record of 69-13. The veteran goaltender had a 2.83 GAA, .911 SV%, and three shutouts in 28 postseason games throughout three seasons
Peters has been between the pipes for the first two games of the regular season where he has had a 2.49 GAA, and 0.955 SV%, while facing 111 shots.
