HAWKS LAND ON COAST
The Coastal Tsunami (17-22-1-1) is wrapping up the weekend and the season series tonight against the Delta Ice Hawks (307-1-2).
Delta is 7-1-0-2 in its past ten games, sitting third in the PJHL and tied for first place in the Tom Shaw Conference with the Richmond Sockeyes, who have played three more games.
Coastal is 4-6 in its past ten games and is coming off a massive victory on Friday night against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack. The Tsunami earned a hard-fought 2-1 win for its first win of 2025.
The team was sparked by a two-point performance from Reegan Kominko (1 goal, 1 assist), who made his PJHL debut that night.
Delta may have already won the season series by winning three of the four games this season and sitting 27 points ahead of Coastal, but the Tsunami has proved this season that anything is possible.
The Tsunami are back in town on Friday, January 31, when they host the Grandview Steelers at 5:00 pm. Tickets are available online and at the arena.

MATEO SJOBERG
Mateo Sjoberg wears number 10 for the Delta Ice Hawks and sits first on his team in points, with 78 in 39 games.
Of his 78 points, 36 are goals, and 42 are assists. He is currently 10 points back from Zack Lagrange, who leads the Ridge Meadows Flames and the rest of the PJHL with 88 points in 40 games.
The right-shot forward from Surrey, BC, is in his second and final season with the Delta Ice Hawks and scored the overtime winner for the Tom Shaw Conference at this year ' s All Star game
ZANE HILL
General Manager and Head Coach Brad Wingfield announced on Friday that the team has committed to 2006-born goaltender Zane Hill (Coeur d’Alene, ID, USA).
Hill (5'11”, 170 pounds) started the season in the KIJHL, suiting up for four games with the Spokane Braves. He posted a 6.94 goals against average and a .882 save percentage.
He then played one game in the NA3HL with the Helena Bighorns, registering 3 goals against average and a 875 save percentage.
