THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

For the first time since November 23, the Coastal Tsunami (1315-1-1) are back home and facing off against a hot-and-cold North Vancouver Wolf Pack (12-13-2-1) squad.

Since the last home game, the Tsunami has played the Aldergrove Kodiaks, Richmond Sockeyes, Ridge Meadows Flames, Mission City Outlaws, and Grandview Steelers. Coastal won two of those five games and will be looking to earn some much-needed points heading into the holiday break.

The Wolf Pack are playing their third consecutive road game, including a 4-1 victory in Chilliwack and a 5-4 overtime loss against the Mission City Outlaws.

Both teams haven't seen each other since September 7, when the Tsunami spoiled the Wolf Pack's home opener. Sunday will be the final home game before Christmas and the team's Snowball Toss. The team will wear holiday jerseys for both games, which can be bought by visiting coastalhockey.ca.

The player to watch for the North Vancouver Wolf Pack is Italian forward Andrew Casellato. The pride of Burnaby, BC, has mustered 40 points in 23 games and has been a leader in getting the Wolf Pack back on track after the squad went 1-6-1 in the opening month. The left-shot shot forward is in his second season with the Wolf Pack and final year of junior hockey. He plays at both ends of the ice and can be trusted.

BRAEDEN PAYNE

Tonight will be a special night for a couple of individuals on the Tsunami, including 2008-born defender Braeden Payne. Payne will be facing off against his hometown team and will be looking to put on a show. He has managed one goal and eight assists for nine points in 25 games. Capable of playing up and down the ice, watch number 28 tonight.
