This month, we are proud to recognize Carolyn Post as our Volunteer Spotlight of the Month. Carolyn exemplifies compassion, dedication, and service not only to our patients but to our entire Fairwinds team and community
As a retired RN, Carolyn brings a unique blend of clinical knowledge and heartfelt care to her volunteer work Her understanding of patient needs, combined with her deep empathy, makes her an irreplaceable part of our hospice team. She attends our weekly Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings with unwavering consistency, offering valuable insights and support with a warm, welcoming presence
Beyond her direct involvement with patients, Carolyn is also one of the hearts behind our monthly crocheting group, where she lovingly helps create beautiful blankets for our veteran patients These handmade gifts bring warmth, comfort, and a personal touch to those we serve something our veterans deeply appreciate Carolyn’s commitment doesn’t stop there. She is always ready to lend a helping hand at community events and fundraising projects, showing up with enthusiasm and a smile, no matter the task
Her generosity of time and spirit reflects the true essence of hospice care meeting people where they are, with dignity, compassion, and grace. Thank you, Carolyn, for everything you do. You remind us all what it means to serve from the heart
