2022: A Year in Review
Overthe past year, Coastal Hospice has continued to provide quality end-of-life care thanks to the commitment and strong determination of our staff, Board of Directors, and our community. It is the dedication and compassion of our doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, certified nursing assistants, grief counselors, volunteers, and supporting staff that provide the driving force to our care.
Despite reimbursement rates below inflation, it is supporters like you who afford us to remain focused on our mission of promoting dignity and quality of life to those facing life-limiting conditions on the Lower Eastern Shore — no matter how remote, how sick, or how costly. Your financial contributions are essential for the provision of those services that are not reimbursed but that offer invaluable support to our community, like bereavement care, education, and complementary therapies.
We continue following the Strategic Plan that informs all efforts towards financial stability and sustainable growth, maintaining our high quality standards of care and positioning Coastal Hospice as the employer of choice in the region. These strategies are materializing in new programs and projects, forging new partnerships while strengthening old ones in our community.
As we move forward with these goals, we inspire ourselves knowing that, based on the Center for Medicare Family Caregiver Survey, our organization continues to be ranked as one of the highest in the state and in the country and that the quality of our care is being recognized and recommended among our community members.
Thank you once again for your partnership and generosity, and for amplifying our vision for every patient and family facing a serious illness, to be honored, supported, and comforted as they receive the right care, at the right time throughout their journey.
Blessings, Monica
