Captain & The Kids found themselves deep in the back waters of New Smyrna Beach this past month with two best friends looking for a highly sought after inshore fish. We also are featuring a father and daughter fishing team which love catching MONSTERS at night!

Best friends Ben and Erik had one thing on their mind, and it was to catch BIG SNOOK! After the boys loaded up the boat, Capt. Evan had his 22ft bay boat pointed to his favorite snook spot. Once arrived to the first spot of the day, Capt. Evan had both of these avid youth anglers hooked up on snook within the first few minutes of the youth trip! The first few fish of the day were all between 15 and 20 inches. With rod bending action and line peeling off the reels the boys were hooked up again but with much bigger fish! When both snook jumped, the boys knew this is what they came for…. Big Snook!! After two great fights, both Ben and Erik landed their personal best snook!

Youth angler Kendall Kavanough is also one of our featured anglers of the month! The fish better watch out whenever Kendall and her dad are on the water! This BIG FISH fighting lady angler knows what it takes to catch Monsters at night which is one of her favorite times to go! When talking to Kendall about why she likes fishing at night, she says “She can’t wait to feel the tug of a big bull redfish, or watching an over slot snook jump in the air! Kendall and her dad take every chance they can get to go out and night fish together! You won’t find a better fish catching team than them!
