A Time of Porpoise

Ithas been a busy summer for the NSFA. First we concluded the late spring season of our club Fish of the Season competition. Then in June, we awarded our annual scholarships to local yout, and this month, NSFA is hosting the Fernandina Beach, SKA sanctioned, Kingfish Tournament and Fishing Rodeo. Look to this space next month for results of that tournament.

Each year NSFA awards 3 scholarships to local rising seniors. These scholarships are funded by various club fund raising activities. This year the club awarded $18,000 in scholarships including 3 $4000 scholarships and an additional 3 $2000 merit scholarships. The recipients of the 2023 $4,000 NSFA scholarships are Cole Harris and Amelia Cutshaw from Fernandina Beach High School, and Madison Hicken from Yulee High School.
