ake a look at what guide Tony Adams does during the winter on Alabama’s Lake Eufaula. With all the slab crappie he catches this time of year, it’s worth considering a fish fry for Christmas or New Year’s festivities. Gone are the days when crappie fishing was a springtime-only endeavor. Anglers have figured out how to pattern these swimming fish sandwiches year-round, and Adams has them dialed in on Eufaula. It’s a pattern that probably translates well to many reservoirs across the South. Lake Eufaula is an impoundment of the Chattahoochee River that stretches out to more than 45,000 acres on the southern end of the Alabama/Georgia border. Centered around the town Eufaula, Ala., hard winter is usually shortlived. Instead of being hunkered down in the depths this time of year, Eufaula crappie are still in a fall feed-up mode. “Lake Eufaula doesn’t get as cold as a lot of lakes. They’re chasing shad in the mouths of the creeks or on the flats in 8 to 10 feet of water,” Adams said. “It’s one of the best times of year to catch bigger fish. They’ve pushed up out of

the depths to feed and put on fat to take them through the winter into the spawn.” Adams said loading a cooler with fillets can be pretty easy in these conditions. The fish might be as scattered as crappie get, but they are actively feeding. This makes catching them easy once you find them. Adams has a milk-run of brush piles in different locations and depths. His Humminbird electronics tell him quickly whether or not a location is holding fish. Once fish are located, most of Adam’s clients prefer to fish old school. Jigs catch fish, he said, but most of his anglers prefer fishing minnows the way their grandfathers taught them. Adams’ War Eagle boat is equipped with three Hi-Tek rod holders in front of each angler’s seat. His 10-foot B‘n’M rods are rigged with spinning reels and 6-pound high-visibility line. On the business end, he ties on a No. 2 hook for a lip-hooked minnow and pinches a splitshot about a foot up the line. He Spot-Locks the trolling motor over active brush and lets his anglers go to work tightlining. Sometimes, when it’s windy, he’ll add another split-shot to keep the lines from bowing.
“If you fish all three rods at different depths, you can figure out what depth they’re biting at,” Adams said. “Then you can leave all your baits at that depth.” Anglers should watch rod tips, of course, but keeping an eye on that high-vis. line is also important. ish are everywhere in the Florida Keys. From big pelagics on offshore humps to vast backcountry flats teeming with tarpon and permit, the options are so varied that decisionmaking can be difficult. Throw in wrecks, reefs, bridges and ledges, and one boat just isn’t enough to do it all. If you wanted to experience all the fishing the Keys have to offer, you’d need several different types of vessels. Joel Brandenburg, of Ana Banana Fishing Company, understands this. Based in Marathon, he’s pulled together a fleet of boats and the captains to fish it all. With five boats ranging from a 53-foot Hatteras to a 24-foot Hanson, they are equipped to chase big game at the famous Marathon Humps and beyond, and also to fish skinny backwater flats and everything in between. The options are enough to make a visiting angler’s head spin, but Joel will be your guide. Putting clients on fish runs in his blood. When his son Jojo Brandenburg earned a master captains license about five years ago, it extended the family business into its third generation. They’ve had a “no-fish, no-pay” policy for more than 20 years, and in all that time they’ve only had to honor it three times. Joel certainly dialed up a good option when I contacted him on short notice this fall. I was looking for a quick half-day while on family vacation in Islamorada. With the winds up on the Atlantic, he suggested a backcountry trip. We’d trade the excitement of blackfin tuna, mahi mahi and sailfish for fast snapper action. That was just fine with

my 10-year-old son and me. Back home, the boy is a bream slayer. “It’s like crappie fishing on steroids,” Joel said as he lowered a chum bag off the stern. We had run 13 miles over skinny water into Florida Bay to anchor off a small wooded island called East Bahia Honda. The boat bobbed at the edge of a deep channel that cuts through the flat like a green vein. The action began immediately. On light tackle, we pitched baits and hauled in mangrove snappers as quickly as we could turn to get another pilchard or ballyhoo chunk from first-mate Eddie Traylor. With a five-fish limit per person, we threw back a bunch of fish and filled the cooler with a quick limit of the chunkiest mangos. Then we bumped around a while, waiting for the tide to turn and throwing Cuda Tubes to wood structure. Casting and working a lure for the visual thrill of a barracuda streaking from cover is a lot of fun. It was tough to put the rods down when Joel suggested we go check out the bridge. On the way in, we got a good look at an endangered hawksbill sea turtle. Anchored near Fred—the storied Australian pine tree that grows from the roadbed of the Old Seven Mile Bridge—we chummed and pitched pilchards into the tide that rushed between pilings. Joel knew we’d get into some yellowtail snapper, and he was hoping for some yellow jacks and maybe a big shark. “Best as I can tell, yellow jacks started showing up around here about 12 to 15 years ago,” Joel said. “I’m happy to have them. They fight like jack crevalle and taste like tuna.” Yellow jacks average 5 pounds around the bridges, but they reach weights in the 15-

S T s to 20-pound range, Joel said. We didn’t boat any yellow jacks, but a big jack crevalle ran the boy around the rails twice, and a nice mutton snapper went into the box along with some keeper yellowtails. When the bite slowed, Joel took us to the docks at Castaway Watefront Restaurant in Marathon with a lot more than a fish supper. They’ll cook your catch any way you want, and it was the perfect end to a day on the water. If you’re looking for a winter get-away, it’s hard to beat winter fishing in the Keys. Joel said they’re targeting sailfish and blackfin tuna and high-speed trolling for wahoo right now. Snapper, grouper and other species are biting on the wrecks, reefs, ledges, bridges and flats. The cobia will show up on the Gulf side in January and February.

Charleston’s December Forecast

ould like to wish everyone a happy holiday season it’s hard to believe it’s the end of the year already. With all the hustle and bustle the end of the year brings, many forget how great the fishing can be. The weather is cooler but the redfish and trout bite can be excellent. The first thing you notice when fishing in December is how peaceful it is on the water. You won’t find any jet skis or many pleasure riders. The majority of the boats are put up for the winter. Mostly what you will find are friendly fellow fisherman. Fishing in December means you should concentrate on two things: redfish and sea trout. The inshore waters of Charleston will be loaded with large schools of both species. The cold weather will have the fish in large schools looking for protection from dolphins and working together to find food. That means you might have to move around to find the large schools or wait a while in your favorite spot until a school comes to you. Either way, you will be in for some fast action when you find them. Most of the bait will be gone and the fish are hungry for almost any artificial lure or fly you place in their path. Look for redfish to be in very shallow water trying to find food and stay warm. Pole or troll down a shallow flat looking for the disturbance or gold flashes. It is not uncommon to see more than 100 fish in a school this time of the year. The water will be very clear and easy to see on a sunny day. You must be quiet and have polarized glasses to help you see in the water. The trout will move from place to place depending on the water temperature. After a cold front you might find them in a 10-20 foot hole. However, a warm afternoon will have them in 2 feet of water along the grass. Midday high tides or late afternoon incoming tides can be the best for trout. Trout will key in on certain colors depending on conditions. Try bright, natural or smoke gray colors until you get the bite. Use light tackle. I like to use 6-12lb class rods, 8lb braid “Like power pro super slick”. This will help you feel the light tap of a trout and easily help you get light jigs or lures into the strike zone. Remember to slow down your retrieve of all lures this time of the year. The fish will be moving and reacting more slowly in the colder water. When you find the reds or trout it may be easy to catch several. Even more than your limit. Consider doing mostly catch and release this time of year. Fishing one huge school of fish and keeping a bunch of them only means less fish for everyone next yr. If you want to keep and eat fish. Consider just keeping a few for dinner that night and save the rest for the future.

The Southside December Forecast By Capt John Ward
A
Folly Beach, Kiawah, Seabrook & Edisto Islands chilly November with many cold fronts has the water temperature mid to low 50”s, which is more typical for January. Lately we have been searching out the cleaner water over certain spots and the better looking water has been producing more bites. The last cold front has the speckled sea trout schooled up in great numbers lurking on the edge of shallow drop offs in 6-15ft of water. Soft plastics on 1/4 oz jig heads have been producing the best bites with a medium to slow retrieve bouncing along the bottom. Brighter colors have been working better on murky water days, and lighter and clear with metal flake has been doing well in cleaner water. Best tide for the trout have been between last 2 hours of incoming and first 2 hours of the outgoing. On calmer days the bull redfish are starting to make their run offshore to spawn. They have been easy to target on calmer days from front beach till about 10 miles off the beach, just look for the birds and dolphins. When they are on the surface they have been eating anything you throw at them, when they are down deep we have been jigging them up with large soft plastics on larger jig heads, and always having another pitch bait ready when pulling the reds up from the deep because they always seem to have 3-10 buddies following them up to the boat. At the reef there are still large numbers of black drum and the sheepshead are starting to stack up, both have been eating shrimp and crabs really well using a Carolina rig with a short leader. Inshore the slot reds, black drum, sheepshead, and flounder have been doing well fishing live and dead bait around structure anytime within a few hours of low tide. The crowds on the water have been slowly thinning out with the cooler weather, giving more opportunities to fish more spots out of sight of another boat. The faster the water temperature drops the quicker the redfish and trout will bunch up in larger schools in tighter areas, and our variety of species inshore and nearshore will thin out. Mt.Pleasant Pier December Forecast By Chris Pounder

ecember and thru the winter, the fishing in Charleston is all about the water temperature. As long as the water temp stays above the magic 60 degree mark, fishing will remain productive. The trout and redfish bite should remain solid around the pier, but the fish will become more sluggish as the water cools. Live bait works best for these fish, but artificial jigs will produce if fished with a slower retrieve. Emerson with a Mud minnows will be an easily accessible live bait option as nice15in spotted trout finger mullet and shrimp become harder to find during the winter. Some of the most popular artificials include the shrimp varieties from Zman, Vudu, and Billy Bay along with the slim swim and trout trick paddle tails from Zman. The River Watch Café and Gift Shop on the pier has several varieties and jig heads to choose from. The winter sheepshead started showing up in November and typically hang around until February or March. As the water cools many pier anglers shift from fiddler crabs to fresh mussels when targeting large sheeps. One way to reduce having your bait picked is to make a small hole in the shell and hide the hook inside for the best chance of landing one when the shell gets crushed. Owner size 2 and 4 mosquito hooks are commonly used by pier anglers as are Gamakatsu 1’s and 2’s. Make sure to keep an eye on the water temperature and take advantage of some good fishing before Old Man Winter takes hold. The Mount Pleasant Pier is a great spot to watch the parade of boats if you’re looking for something festive to do on December 11. You’ll want to be at the end of the pier around sundown and may want to bring a chair as seating is limited. The boats will go by sometime between 6pm and 7pm and there’s no charge for the event. The River Watch Café & Gift Shop will be open till sundown so you can grab a hot chocolate, smoothie, or beer to take with you as you enjoy a Lowcountry holiday tradition. It’s the holiday season and the fish are biting! As we transition into the winter months, the water quicky begins to cool down. The “Fall Funk” (as we like to call it) ends, and the fishing improves. So, bundle up and hit the water! Water level plays a large role on positioning fish on Santee Cooper during the winter months. Typically, during this time of year the water is lowered, and Largemouth Bass tend pull out to cover in the 5-10ft range. Stumps, brush, and rock is the perfect structure for winter bass to congregate. If the structure is located in depressions, even better! Imitating bait fish seems to work best this time of year - Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jerk baits, and lipless crankbaits are proven fish catchers. Also, don’t be afraid to venture to deeper depths. The diversion canal and deeper ledges can hold plenty of quality fish as well. Jigging spoons, Bucktails, and large Crankbaits will get the job done out deep! The water is cold in December, but the striper fishing is hot! The schooling action is explosive and topwater plugs can be a fun way to catch them! Look for birds and wads of baitfish (herring, shad, or menhaden) to help you locate these groups of stripers. Once the school settles down grab a white bucktail, a spoon, or a swimbait. If live bait is your preference, drifting herring or shad right above these schools will put fish in the boat. Big catfish always seem to get landed this time of year! They can usually be found in depths ranging from 10ft-40ft. There’s no wrong way to catch catfish in December. Some anglers prefer to drift until they find the fish, others choose to graph until they locate catfish, then anchor. Continue reading on page 5..

How to “Tackle” Winter Inshore Fishing
W
hen it comes to inshore fishing, whether you are targeting Red Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, or what is becoming a favorite, Sheepshead, the one thing that happens through the seasons that keeps inshore fishing exciting is changing your techniques and tackle to better tackle the changes in the feeding habits and actions of these inshore species. Now that we have moved into winter here in the Lowcountry, the water temperature has gotten cold, and what happens when water gets cold, the fish slow down. Some species of fish will move out to sea in search of deeper and warmer waters. This helps when targeting some species like Sheepshead. With a lot of the smaller pesky fish out of their way, it becomes easier to keep your bait in front of these tedious, sneaky, crustacean-eating ninjas. My favorite baits when moving into winter for Sheepshead are Clams out of the shell, Oysters out of the shell, Barnacles and whole Mussels. For tackle, I always recommend an Octopus style hook, either in size 4, 2 or 1, tied onto a Carolina rig. You can change the length of your fluorocarbon according to how you want to fish your bait, and you can change your egg weights depending on the water conditions you are fishing in. Spotted Seatrout—schools of young males will
group up in deeper holes, usually right outside the entrance of tributaries waiting for the water flow to bring small fish and Shrimp and other bait out of or into the creeks. This is a time of year when anglers love to use artificials, but what artificials and tackle are best? Like I mentioned above, these fish move slower in the winter, conserving their energy, but when hooked, fight vigorously, so you would want to slow down your presentation. Paddle Tail Grubs and Curly Tail Grubs are quite effective this time of year. Drop down deep into the hole and slowly raise up with a couple of short, sharp twitches before re-dropping. You’ll find that a lot of these speckled beauties will grab right off the bottom. Artificial Shrimp are a winter favorite, tossed out and allowed to sink. If there is a current, let the current push the Shrimp along the bottom as you slowly reel in the slack in your line, again, occasionally, giving a small twitch to the Shrimp just creating a visual effect that says to the Trout, “Hi! I am here!” A popping cork will also become some needed tackle for locations that have a lot of structure

Use the popping cork with your artificials, either the Shrimp, the Paddle Tails or the Curly Tails, tie the length of your fluorocarbon to your cork to the estimated length you will need just to keep your bait over the debris and in the strike zone, either popping the cork every now and then, or just allow a slow drift. Don’t forget, if you can get them, live Mud Minnows, either under the cork or on a small Carolina rig, work great this time of year. Red Drum and Flounder—all of the techniques above can be used to catch Flounder and Red Drum, including all the tackle mentioned above, but finding the Red Drum and Flounder is the key to our cold season. If you have a flats boat or kayak, you can find larger Red Drum grouped up in pools of warmer water in the marshes. These pools can be spotted during low tides, locations in the swamp grass that still hold a large amount of shallow water that heats up during the day’s sunlight. The groups of Reds will congregate in the pools and enjoy their warmer location until the tide moves back in. Anglers love to target them when they are trapped in these pools, but this is a time of year when you can find a lot of slot-size Red Drum, meaning eating size, here in South Carolina that is 15 to 23 Continue reading on page 8...

My advice is to do what you enjoy and what method works best for you. Live bait works really well, but cut herring, menhaden, and perch works well, too! One of the most exciting things about this time of year is that you never know what you’ve hooked into until the fish surfaces. Bass, Stripers, Catfish, and Crappie can all be grouped together. During the winter they are all chasing and eating the baitfish - Getting fed and prepared for the spawn that is going to occur in the coming months. December Tip: Dress warm and pack a change of clothes. I recommend overdressing! It’s always 5-10 degrees cooler on the lake than at your house. I always have a change of clothes on my boat, especially during the winter. If you fish long enough, you’re going to fall into the water. One of the worst things that can happen, is for you to fall in the water and forced to wear cold, wet clothes all the way back to the ramp. In reality, it could save your life. It’s something so simple that could prevent a nightmare - Please, bring a change of clothes. We encourage you to enjoy your time on the water and when given the opportunity – take a kid fishing. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching a child reel in a fish. m I the only one thinking how did we get to December and the end of this year so fast?!? 2020 seemed to drag on forever but 2021 not so much! Fishing doesn’t need to stop just because it’s cooler out! We’re usually pretty lucky to get some more milder winters and a few warmer days that you can still go wet a line! And for a lot of us it’s a great time to ask for some new fishing gear or tackle for presents! Offshore the bottom fishing and Wahoo definitely are still biting and are always fun to catch! The nearshore reefs are fun to hit too and catch some big sheepshead! Make sure to keep your fingers out of those human looking teeth. Being on the water is a great way to spend time with the family and friends if you get lucky to get some time off work. Just bundle up and put some layers on! Crazy as it sounds I got electric socks last year and they dont disappoint! They keep me warm for the colder days on the water! Well enjoy the most wonderful time of the year and keep those lines tight! Mandy

One of my favorite baits for them this time of year is frozen Shrimp on a small Carolina rig, but you don’t find these slot-size Reds out in the open or in these deep pools hanging out with the young Trout, you will find them around structure, like docks or piers in big piles of debris. Flounder are another story. In the Lowcountry, we have two popular species of Flounder, the Southern Flounder and the Summer Flounder. The Summer Flounder is a larger Flounder and usually after November, the Summer Flounder will move out to sea during our cold months and come back in around March, hence the word Summer Flounder. But our Southern Flounder stays year round. Now I am not saying you can’t catch a Summer Flounder during the winter because I have done so myself on plenty of occasions, but to find your winter Flounder is the key. You want to look for muddy banks, starting out off the edge of the grass with a short Oyster bed, then the bottom slowly moving into the water with a smooth muddy appearance. Flounder are ambush predators and they love to flutter themselves into the mud and lay flat in the soft mud just off the banks and Oyster beds. Flounder are smart and they know that during the tide changes or even during the stalls that bait like Shrimp and small fish will have to come down the bank line just over their heads or during a low tide on a sunny day when the water is warmer towards the shallow edge of the grass. The Shrimp and smaller fish will congregate trying to take advantage of the temperature. This will allow the Flounder to pop off the bottom and grab any of them that are in range, so throwing a live Mud Minnow on a Carolina rig or tossing an artificial Shrimp or Paddle Tail or Curly Tail Grub should do the trick. CHANGES COMING FOR GULF OF MEXICO REGULATIONS

he Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council is considering changes that might affect regulations for recreational anglers in the Gulf of Mexico. The council is the regional authority charged with managing fisheries in federal waters of the Gulf, and it met Oct. 25-28 in Orange Beach, Alabama. The following is a summary of actions from that meeting. Cobia: The Gulf Group cobia stock is managed jointly with the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council and includes both the Gulf Zone and Florida East Coast Zone. A recent stock assessment showed Gulf Group cobia are not overfished but are experiencing overfishing. The Gulf Council chose to reduce Gulf Group Cobia stock overfishing limit, acceptable biological catch, and annual catch limits with an increasing yield stream for the years 2021-2023. The bottom line for anglers is: the council chose to retain the 36-inch fork length minimum size limit for cobia, reduce the daily possession limit to one fish per person and create a twofish vessel limit for both commercial and recreational sectors in the Gulf Zone. In the Florida East Coast Zone, the council decided to increase the minimum size limit to 36-inches fork length, reduce the daily possession limit to one fish per person, and create a two-fish vessel limit for both commercial and recreational sectors. These changes must be agreed upon by
the South Atlantic Council before they are submitted to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce for approval and implementation. Red Grouper: The Council took final action to increase the red grouper overfishing limit, acceptable biological catch, annual catch limits and annual catch targets. This recommendation, if implemented by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, would set the stage for a loosening in regulations for red grouper. King Mackerel: A recent update stock assessment determined king mackerel is not overfished or experiencing overfishing. However, the spawning stock biomass was found to be below the level necessary to achieve maximum sustainable yield. The Gulf Council chose to retain the 24-
inch minimum size limit for king mackerel. The South Atlantic Council, which jointly manages the mackerel fishery, opted for a 22-inch fork length minimum size limit. The councils will have to reach agreement. Greater Amberjack: Greater amberjack is both overfished and experiencing overfishing. Catch-limit reductions are likely to come soon. Gag Grouper: Gag is both overfished and experiencing overfishing. A recent assessment indicated that a lack of males might be having an effect on the productivity of the stock. The council indicated it is not in favor of total closure. Catch-limit reductions are being considered. Vermilion Snapper: Increased vermilion snapper catch limits are being considered. A recent stock assessment determined that vermilion snapper is neither overfished or experiencing overfishing. After hearing public comment, which cautioned against increasing catch limits dramatically, the council recommended staff include alternatives with smaller increases than were recommended. The council selected a preferred alternative that would increase the vermilion snapper overfishing limit, acceptable biological catch, and annual catch. The Council will solicit public comment before taking final action.

49-year-old angler from Kingsland, Georgia landed a big red grouper off the Georgia coast on Oct. 4 that crushed the existing state record by nearly seven pounds. Bruce C. Bartlett Jr.’s 26-pound, 6.4-ounce fish measured 34.5 inches in length. It was certified by Georgia DNR and broke the existing record of 19 pounds, 7 ounces, which was caught by John Wren in 2012. The IGFA all-tackle world record weighed 42 pounds, 4 ounces. It was caught in 1997 off St. Augustine, Florida. Bartlett landed the red grouper using a 5-foot, 8-inch Ugly Stik Tiger rod with Shimano Torium reel with 65-pound Power Pro line using a live cigar minnow as bait. His terminal rig was a fish finder sinker slide with an 8-ounce bank sinker to a 100-pound barrel swivel, followed by a 60-pound fluorocarbon leader and 6/0 Eagle Claw circle hook. He was fishing east of Navy Tower R4, about 60 miles off of Cumberland Island, Georgia, aboard his boat Fishslaya Duece.

ost bass released after tournament weigh-ins eventually return to the area where they caught. This interesting tidbit came from a research project conducted on Big Rideau Lake and was reported on by the nonprofit organization Blue Fish Canada. According to the report, researchers used acoustic tags to look into the survival rates and behaviors of bass after they were released at the weigh-in site. Over three tournaments, 88 largemouth and smallmouth bass were tagged before release. Their movements were tracked using sensors placed throughout the lake. Researchers selected each of the fish in the study based on whether the angler could accurately provide a location where the fish was caught. Upon release, the fish piled up within 300 meters of the release site for a short time before dispersing back toward the main lake. All of the bass eventually left the area. It took largemouths an average of 4.6 days to leave. The smallmouths were gone within a day. One of the researchers, Dr. Steven J. Cooke, told Blue Fish Canada’s Lawrence Gunther that each of the bass caught and tagged eventually returned to the area where they were originally caught. That’s pretty amazing, especially considering the size of the lake, which has a surface acreage of more than 100 square miles.

MEET THE WELS CATFISH Europe’s Freshwater Monster By TAM Staff
I
n late October, news of a giant wels catfish caught from Spain’s Ebro River made the rounds on the Internet. The fish, caught by British angler Mark Steward-Brown, weighed 234 pounds, according to Field & Stream. It was a monster fish, but it fell well short of the record for wels catfish. Although they are rare, it seems fish heavier than 200 pounds are caught every year in European fisheries. Fish heavier than 100 pounds are commonplace. Wels have a long time to grow during a lifespan of 50 years or more. The IGFA all-tackle world record was caught from Italy’s Po River in 2010. It measured longer than 9 feet in length and weighed 297 pounds. Fish like that are a good reason for hardcore catfish anglers to look into a European vacation. In U.S. waters, an angler might spend a lifetime pursuing a blue catfish heavier than 100 pounds. According to Field & Stream, Steward-Brown caught four fish heavier than 100 pounds during his first day fishing in Spain. Spain’s Ebro River, especially at Mequinenza Reservoir in the northeastern corner of the country, is renowned for good numbers of big fish. In northern Italy, the Po River and its delta on the Adriatic Sea, produced the world record as well as some other huge fish over the years. In France, the Rhone River and several of its tributaries have earned a reputation for big catfish. A Google search will reveal guide services and “holiday packages” offered for all of these destination fisheries and more. From an angler’s perspective, Wels are interesting species for more than just their massive size. Like all catfish, they are bottom feeders. They like stinky bait, and are often caught on pre-made bait-pellet rigs. However, they are also voracious predators with giant mouths. Many anglers prefer to pursue them with large, loud lures. Wels have poor eyesight, so vibration and noise are important. Their natural diet is made up mostly of earthworms, mollusks, insects and fish. As they grow larger, they begin feeding on anything they can fit in their mouths. Frogs, mice, rats and aquatic birds are all prey items. In southwestern France, an isolated population of Wels has learned to ambush pigeons on land, like orcas attack seals on the beach. That should be the cue for some innovative fly tyer to twist up an ultra-realistic pigeon fly. For more information, go to www.coastalanglermag.com.
