Our History

Kal Kajla started Transource Freightways in 2005 and now have quickly become a strong regional carrier based in Delta, BC. Coming from a background of growing up on a farm and working within the family business delivering produce at a young age he learned strong work ethics. BC with yards in Calgary and Edmonton. We are excited to have recently started our LCV operation in Alberta. We keep our equipment safe and up to date with an onsite mechanic and a mobile vehicle. In November 2010 we became a Smart Way Transport Partner in efforts to help us work to improve fuel efficiencies in our fleet.

We have GPS satellite tracking for easy access to locating our equipment. We have automated email alerts that are sent to customers when deliveries are completed. We are also EDI capable and have web Access to invoices, PODs and order status.

Long Haul Truck Drivers Required Job Duties include: operate and drive tractor-trailer, articulated, double trailers or straight trucks to transport goods and materials between BC and Alberta. Plan travel logistics, schedules and routes, use gps, maps and other trip planning aids. Responsible for all documentation regarding delivery and pick up, responsible for fuel consumption logs, hours of service (log books). Perform and document pretrip inspections, en-route and post-trip inspections of vehicle and safety equipment.

Fill out and report accident or incident reports, maintenance and/or repair reports, trip reports. Responsible for securing cargo properly. Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive independently or as part of a two-person team or convoy.

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, monitor vehicle performance, mechanical fitness and may be required to perform roadside repairs.

Terms of employment: This is a permanent full time position - Wage: $24/hr CDN Benefits: We offer optional employer/employee extended medical benefits plan after 6 months. Location of work: 620 Aldford Avenue, Delta and various locations across BC and AB Skills & Education: High School preferred. Work Experience: At least 1 year truck driving experience and clean driver’s abstract preferred.

On the evening of March 10, 2015 a massive fire was started in the motorcycle shop at the far end of our building. Thanks to the Langley fire department, the fire was contained and extinguished at the concrete fire wall that separated Coastline Transmission from the rest of the building, but not before damaging the structural integrity of the wall and receiving substantial losses from smoke and water damage.

So, after 34 years at the same Langley location, overnight Coastline Transmission was both homeless and on the hunt for a new shop. After extensively searching the Langley area with no success, we found a new location at 30991 Peardonville Road in Abbotsford that could meet both ours and our customer’s needs.

Finally, on February 1, 2016 after 10½ months of dealing with real estate agents, engineers, draftsmen, city inspectors, insurance adjusters and contractors we opened our doors to the public. With our shop fully booked on day one the response from our many longtime and new customers has been overwhelmingly positive.
