On behalf of the Kingswood Oxford Board of Trustees, thank you to all members of our KO donor community for making the 2023-24 year such a success!

As the KO Board Chair, I know how important the support of our alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends is to the campus as a whole, and the impact you make on our Wyverns.

With your contributions we are able to strengthen the programs that are at the very core of the Kingswood Oxford experience. We are able to provide outstanding academics and extracurricular activities for our students, and ensure enrichment opportunities for our dedicated teachers, supplying them and their classrooms with what they need to succeed and teach this generation of students.

The opportunities we are able to give our Wyverns continue to grow thanks to you.

Once the Community Commons renovations are completed next summer, we invite you all to visit campus and see the incredible space that our students will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear KO Community, Your contribution to Kingswood Oxford has made a lasting impact on our students. KO offers an incomparable student experience because of the generosity of our alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty/staff, vendors, and friends. This past year alone, our students participated in Model U.N. conferences, saw Ragtime in New York City, camped and canoed in New Hampshire, and welcomed a variety of speakers, performers, and artists to campus – all because of caring supporters like you!

Your commitment to KO has taken on many forms this year. We have raised almost $1.4 million in our annual fund, which supports the school’s operating budget; and the Seize the Day capital campaign encompassing the Community Commons, new signature academic programs, and endowed financial and faculty aid funds now stands at $18.8 million. The 50th Reunion Class of 1973 raised over $50,000 to purchase new golf carts for the campus, support faculty & name a classroom. The 2024 senior class secured the dollars for four brand-new athletic training tables, which our athletes have begun utilizing this year. Our vibrant Parent Association and Alumni Council, not to be outdone, hosted a successful Casino Night and our fourth annual KO Golf Tournament, respectively, which raised critical dollars for the KO Annual Fund.

It is the loyal support of donors like you that make it all possible. You’ve strengthened our school immeasurably and provided the resources and initiatives crucial to our students’ success.

Kingswood Oxford’s Seize the Day capital campaign to enhance our People, Programs and Place, launched its public phase in the spring of 2024 and momentum continues to build among alumni, current and past families and friends of the school across the Wyvern community, with over 90 donors having invested in the people, program, and place that will enhance every KO’s student’s experience. To date, we have raised over $18,800,000 towards our $22,000,000 goal. The campaign is co-chaired by Gayle Temkin P’23, ’25 and Bradley Hoffman ’78.

SEIZE THE DAY CAMPAIGN

Gifts received so far have supported our faculty’s growth and development so that we can attract and retain the best teachers. We have also received support for signature programs in the arts (Goodman Banks Visiting Artist Fund), as well the Baird Symposium. Financial aid, prizes in honor of distinguished teachers, and towards unrestricted academic excellence. There are still many vital academic areas that supporters can choose to invest in.

In addition to people and programs, donors have generously supported KO’s newest place – the Community Commons. The Commons will be a hub where this learning comes alive – through collaborative and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces designed to foster creativity and an exchange of ideas. Naming opportunities within the Commons are still available.

Thanks to the tremendous fundraising effort of the Kingswood and Oxford Classes of 1973, over $50,000 was raised this year in honor of their 50th Reunion! These donations were used to purchase two much needed golf carts, name a classroom, and to support the very deserving and hardworking students and teachers. Visitors to campus have been able to enjoy the new rides at a variety of events including Grandparents Day and Reunion Weekend. We are so thankful for the generosity of the Classes of 1973 for making a positive impact on Kingswood Oxford School.
