Hands exten d at arms length, as a band o f gold encircles the flesh, A shiver is sent directly to the spine as the coolness reacts with our warmth. Eyes spy over every inch as we examine each and every crevice. Touch it, yes it's real. Look at it, yes look at it closely. The brightness o f the stone smiles as it is re fle cte d through all faces. In years to come when time has elapsed and led us apart-you steal a glanceand memories will envelope you into a trance. Recall the place where we laughed and cried and occasionally examined our heads and wondered why? Wear this ring soley with fidelity and never contradict its worthiness. For it dignifies a place o f existence and growth. The years went by fast; remember you are the divine keeper; uphold its standards as well as your own, for you are not alone, nor the only one decorated with it. Anticipation is at end though we are overwhelmed by its presence. We do not actually feel a part o f it, for realization has not yet set in. However, we are now a part o f each other, by Ginny Kramer

*'That'$ the d ifficu lty in these tim es; ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us only to m eet the horrible truth and be shattered. It's only a wonder I haven't dropped all my ideals because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them because in spite o f everything I still believe people are really good at heart. I sim ply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting o f confusion, m isery and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness. I hear the ever approaching thunder which will d estro y us too. I can feel the suffering o f millions and yet, i f I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end and that peace and tranquility will return again. In the meantime I must uphold my ideals fo r perhaps the time will come when I shall be able to ca rry them out. -Anne Frank-

We began not so long ago, or so it seemsInto a strange environmentwith unfamiliar faces. And there we were, lonely and scared. Life was anything but gradual; And serenity was a thing of the past. Soon pursued by a goal we made our niche. Faces suddenly^ became conscious, usual, And those of then and now friends. This is where we were destined to growthough in more ways than one. Dangling on a thread at times, the climb was so steep, but together we grasped a tight hold and never let go. Many events have filled the air. If your cup be filled may it be again. For these times will not be forgotten, but will be treasured and fixed-MEMORIES: -Starry eyes; another all nighter -884-8888-Alumnae please, 15 minutes -Friday nights on Broadway, bitter cold, but nonetheless it was never felt. -Formals old and new-spring and fall. -Ringday traditionally united. -Formal nights with Frankie; we certainly did it our way. -Life begins to unfold-lOO nights -Finally this; and now the future. We learned the ropes; Confident, organized and logicalWe are set to confront and meet any challenge. Can you hear the musicWe can-they are songs that have filled our air. So let it be known it was made by us and us alone. If we knew a way we would stay. But we must move on, and When we do-you my friends Willjollow. But most of all we will miss you. Ginny Kramer

Take time to work it is the price of success. Take time to th in k __ it is the source of power. Take time to p la y __ it is the secret of perpetual youth. Take time to re a d __ it is the foundation of wisdom. Take time to be frie n d ly__ it is the road to happiness. The Senior Class wishes to leave with the College Community special thanks and appreciation for the happy memories and the enhancement of knowledge it has bestowed upon us/We will never forget all those who have helped make our four years precious and unique. We graduate With sadness that is expected when leaving friends, loved ones, and the haven that has protected us. However we leave with the hope that those left behind will be proud of our effort to carry oh the qualities so beautifully instilled in us by the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
