Jesus calms the storm

Matthew 8:22–25

One day while Jesus and his disciples were out in a boat, there was a great storm. The disciples became very scared. Jesus told the wind and the waves, “Be quiet!” Immediately, the storm calmed down. “You don’t have to be afraid, because I am always with you and I will help you.”

Prayer from Psalm 27

Jesus, you are like a bright light that chases away the darkness. Therefore, I don’t have to be afraid. Amen.
