STUDENT SUCCESS
CMCC remains dedicated to delivering world-class chiropractic education, research, and patient care. Our students continue to perform exceptionally well in the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) exams, with five-year passing rates for first-time test takers surpassing the average scores of non-CMCC students. Although participation in the US National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) exams remains low, our students' performance has been consistent with previous years.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
In alignment with our commitment to enhancing experiential learning within the Doctor of Chiropractic program, we have made significant strides in shifting from traditional lectures to more active learning and competency-based assessments. Experiential learning opportunities have been incorporated across Years I to III, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback. Students have demonstrated high levels of engagement and attendance, and have reported increased confidence and competence. We also introduced new active assessments to better measure student progress. Our clinical diagnosis and clinical education departments have played pivotal roles, focusing on closing competency gaps in areas such as professionalism, communication, health advocacy, and leadership.
ACCREDITATION AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
CMCC remains committed to maintaining the highest standards in chiropractic education. Our Doctor of Chiropractic program is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education Canada (CCEC) until 2030. In 2022, we also achieved initial accreditation by the Council on Chiropractic Education in the US (CCE-US), valid until 2025. CMCC is the first institution to hold dual accreditation by these two prestigious bodies. We are already well ahead in preparing our selfstudy report for the 2025 CCE-US accreditation and are actively working to implement Competency-Based Education (CBE), an outcomes-based approach that will enhance the design, assessment, and evaluation of our programs.
FINANCIAL HEALTH
CMCC continues to uphold its reputation for financial excellence. Our primary reserve ratio remains strong, demonstrating our ability to manage unforeseen financial challenges. For the FY2024-25 academic year, our budget includes funding for strategic initiatives that align with our current plan and the transition to new leadership. Once again, our independent auditors have issued an unqualified audit report, affirming the institution’s financial stability.

scale. In recent years CMCC has maintained a CFI score above two, and at 4.22 in 2024. A CFI score of between two and five indicates the institution should direct resources toward transformation, which is well aligned with CMCC’s renewed strategic goals.
CMCC’s financial stability is further illustrated through consistent growth in the Unrestricted General Fund; Internally Restricted Contingency Fund; and Endowment Fund between 2019-2024. The aforementioned funds support CMCC’s strategic initiatives (including: research and investments in equipment used for teaching/learning), unanticipated events and opportunities, as well as a source of funds to attract and retain top students in the Doctor of Chiropractic program of study.
CMCC’s commitment to allocate surplus operating resources to the General and Internally Restricted Contingency Funds enables the organization to take advantage of strategic investment opportunities, while also ensuring operational, reputational, and business risks associated with unanticipated activities/events can be appropriately managed. The Internally Restricted Contingency Fund grew to $10.1 million with a view to achieving the aspirational goal of the equivalent of a six-month operating reserve, while the General Fund was steady at $6.6 million at May 31, 2024.
CMCC’s priority to reduce reliance on tuition related sources of revenue continues to be challenged despite an improvement in recent years vs. 2021. These challenges include the
