St. Mary and Archangel Michael History - Church built in 1896 by French Canadian on French Hill in Nahua NH - The Church is 185 foot marble cathedral with copper domes - Church was purchased by the Coptic Church in 2008
- Consecrated by H H Pope Shenouda III in September 2009 - Church is part of New York and New England Diocese under H G Bishop David
- Church serves about 250 families - In October 2016 NH preservation Alliance named the church to "Seven to Save program" - In July 2017 the church was listed on the NH State register of Historic Places
- December 2017 Land Community Heritage and Investment program (LCHIP) announced a state grant ($390K) matching grant to support the church enormous efforts to preserve this great landmark (already made this match)
- October 2018 the national fund for Sacred Places elected the church as one of 12 churches nationwide to its national grant program for ($250K) matching 1-2 (not made yet)
Projects: Several projects are required to restore the church to prevent further damage - Fixing the cracks in the Facade (work in progress) about $2.5M - Roof issues - Copper dome issues and flashes - Update kitchen Trying to raise approximately $4M to fix these issues
