The first step in registering a trademark is searching for logos. Send in TM Form 55 after conducting the in-depth research. The IPO Pakistan searched to see if a trademark with a similar meaning already existed. Tax officers are the ones that verify a trademark’s legality. To request a trademark search, the Applicant (representing a business or brand) submits the “TM Form 55” and the necessary trademark. Step 2: Registering a Color Trademark A trademark, which usually includes all hues, is filed alongside a specific color. Both applications with and without a color restriction must follow the same procedure (s). Information from the application form about the Applicant (Name, address, and Nationality) 2. If the Applicant cannot successfully defend his application, IPO Pakistan has the right to withdraw the registration application. The trademark may print in the monthly digital journal published by IPO Pakistan (available for online viewing at IPO’s website) once there are no objections to the application. proposed trademarks for which registration was requested. IPO Pakistan responds to objections by filing the appropriate form, such as TM-5 or TM8, which requests that the trademark application be looked into. The Applicant requested forms TM-6 or TM-9 be submitted to make his objection defense (whichever applies). The trademark registration application is deemed approved if no objections are raised within two months of the trademark being published in the online journal. The Applicant requested to complete TM Form 11 and pay the applicable trademark registration charge to obtain the trademark registration certificate. The Applicant receives a Trademark Registration Certificate after making the full payment. Every ten years, the trademark is required to be refreshed. Expected Processing Time for Trademark Registration Applications From the time an application is submitted until the trademark registration certificate is issued, the trademark register normally processes applications in around 18 months, according to vast experience.
