From the President

The steps we take now will create the pathway for a more vibrant and progressive Club Industry. Despite the amount of disruption and uncertainty all around us, as fundamentally nearly every aspect of our lives has changed, our focus has not wavered. This focus is the long term sustainability of our Club Industry.

Our Clubs have strong leaders who are resilient and adaptable in the toughest of situations. By shifting thoughts and behaviours about the issues that currently impact our businesses; they are meeting the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions. They are already planning for the best way back as the Industry demonstrates that we are fast, agile and responsive to member and community needs. The recovery journey ahead of us may take months or even years. The steps we take now will create the pathway for a more vibrant and progressive Club Industry. As communication and information dissemination are critical in a rapidly changing environment, I encourage each of you, along with your management, staff and members, to always keep in touch.

Our leaders are also using this time to review and critically assess existing strategy and business plans. As behaviour is rapidly changing around us, now is the time to adapt and really think outside the square for new innovative approaches to business operations and emerging opportunities and challenges that face the Club Industry.
