ClovisFest & Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly Old Town Clovis welcomes thousands of visitors each year to ClovisFest and Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly. This year’s ClovisFest, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino is your ultimate destination for family fun, food, and entertainment.

Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly, presented

by Noble Credit Union. Come early on Saturday and Sunday morning around 6:00 am to the Clovis Rodeo Grounds to experience the awe-inspiring “morning-fire”, Balloon Glow and watch as the pilots prepare the balloons to launch. (Launch will depend on wind and weather). Breakfast items, specialty coffees, and drinks will be available for purchase on the Rodeo Grounds.

Balloon propane generously donated by Ferrellgas.

International Village, presented by the Fresno/Clovis Convention & Visitors Bureau. Delight in live performances each day on the International Village stage (located on 4th

Street between Pollasky & Woodworth Avenues) featuring performances by Polynesian Club of Fresno, Danzantes Yoztaltepetl, Halau Hula I Ka La, and many more. Informational booths will showcase the cultural diversity of our community and will inform, educate, and entertain children of all ages. Local schools and students are encouraged to download (or pickup at the information booth) the free Passport to Culture and International Village Flyer for an enhanced learning experience. Visit all cultural booths and stamp your passport to enter a drawing for a free Chromebook.

Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden and Live Music Stage. Meet-up with your friends at the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden on Bullard between Pollasky & Woodworth Avenues. Enjoy a cold brew and listen to a variety of live musical entertainment. We will have 3 live bands each day. Admission is Free.

Made In Clovis and Children’s

Business Fair is located on Pollasky between 7th & 8th streets. Made In Clovis is a special program that showcases new and exciting businesses, technology, crafts, hobbyists and foods invented by our local community members. They will present their creations to the public for all to see and enjoy. On both Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25, Made In Clovis will include a special Children’s Business Fair featuring young entrepreneurs that will set up their booths, promote their products and sell to the public. Get ready to be amazed.

Kids, Food, Activities and Attractions.

Kids Zone on 5th Street— Princesses from Something Enchanted, Hero Alliance, Starlite Vaulters, Petting Zoo, and Pony Rides. Inflatables and attractions on 4th Street. Children and adults will enjoy these wonderful attractions on 4th Street between Clovis and Pollasky Avenues.

Enjoy the many food vendors along Pollasky Avenue. Try something new or enjoy traditional fair favorites, such as cinnamon rolls, shaved ice, cotton candy, corn dogs, cultural favorites, tacos and more.

With over 200 craft and commercial vendor booths, you will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind jewelry, glassware, woodworks, and unbelievably unique items. You’re sure to find something you won’t find anywhere else.

The Clovis Chamber of Commerce and Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino look forward to seeing you at ClovisFest on September 24-25 for a full weekend celebrating the best of Clovis.

Hot Air Balloons have been floating over Clovis for decades. In 1998 the Clovis Chamber of Commerce added a Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly to its annual ClovisFest celebration. This Free event has been a family favorite ever since.

The ClovisFest Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly takes place in the Clovis Rodeo grounds at 6:00 a.m. each day of ClovisFest. The balloon pilots go the extra mile for the residents of Clovis.

They come out before dawn each day of the event and give the crowd a thrill by blowing fire into the early morning sky. Watching a Hot Air Balloon inflate, and the orchestrated

movements of the balloon crew is a marvel to behold.

This year ClovisFest will be offering balloon tether rides on both Saturday and Sunday mornings from the rodeo grounds for a small fee.

Come out early on Saturday and Sundays to see the balloons take off. It’s a magical family experience.

Coffee and breakfast items will be for sale at the event.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is the cost of a tethered balloon ride? $15 per person for adults and children. Cash-only payments will be accepted.

How many people can go up in a tethered balloon at once?

The number of people that can go up is generally determined by the size of the individuals in a given group. Generally, 2-3 people may go on a tethered balloon ride together. Number of people is determined by the Balloon pilot.

How high does the tethered balloon go?

Tethered rides are conducted wind and weather permitting. Do NOT RIDE if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Tethered rides normally last 3 to 4 minutes.

Children under 42” tall may not ride without a parent or guardian. Participants should be in generally good physical condition. Passenger weight is limited to 275 lbs. per person. All passengers are required to sign a Release & Waiver of Liability. Passengers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.

Pets are NOT allowed on balloon rides.

The Clovis Chamber of Commerce and The Fresno Clovis Convention and Visitors Bureau are proud to present the sixth annual International Village at ClovisFest. On Saturday and Sunday, September 24th and 25th, ClovisFest attendees can experience the International Village on 4th Street and Pollasky.

Visitors can sit and enjoy over a dozen cultural dances and music from all around the world. Groups including Halau Hula I Ka La, The

Polynesian Club of Fresno, Ntxhais Koom Siab, Limbota Mbonda Fresno African Drumming and many more will perform live throughout the weekend.

The International Village section of ClovisFest includes cultural booths attendees can visit and view artifacts from different cultures.

The passport brings engagement between the cultural booths and the community.

Each person with a passport will receive a stamp from each of the booths by learning something about the cultures represented. Once you receive all your stamps you may drop it back off at The Fresno Clovis Convention and Visitors Bureau booth for your chance to win a brand new chromebook.

Made in Clovis Back and Better Than Ever The Made In Clovis section of ClovisFest (on Pollasky between 7th & 8th streets) is back for its second year.

Coming off a very successful inaugural 2021 campaign, Made In Clovis is a showcase and celebration for those who have succeeded in building a better mousetrap, or perhaps created something to solve a problem that we didn’t know existed, and everything in between. Participants will be featured in a special section of ClovisFest in Old Town Clovis on September 24 & 25, 2022.

Tech wizards, crafters, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science buffs, artists, students, and commercial organizations are some of the participants that will be on hand to show off their items, inventions, or ideas in the categories of technology, food, crafts, and more.

Another exciting part of Made In Clovis is the Children’s Business Fair Fresno/Clovis which will feature children 6-17 years old who will be out to present their special entrepreneurial talents. We encourage you to come out and witness

But this event is not limited to startups. Existing business that utilize innovative processes to create goods will also be part of the show. “In talking to many Made In Clovis participants from last year, they were thrilled with the response from the 2021 ClovisFest

crowds. I am very excited to see what this year’s participants will bring to the streets of Old Town Clovis this year. We really have some incredibly talented people in our community” said Shawn Miller, City of Clovis Business Development Manager.
