The Customer Challenge

The customer had multiple project requirements for which they wanted to upskill and reskill their employees from tech departments. For a specific upcoming project, the company wanted to upskill an existing team of lateral hires on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the customer demanded professionals with specific GCP skill sets to work on the project.

Based on the customer’s employee training requirements, our training team of GCP and Azure experts began analyzing the existing skill sets of participants through multiple skill assessments. As the customer wanted to skill di erent teams comprising freshers as well as lateral hires working from di erent locations on GCP and Azure, our team had to take di erent approaches to meet the skilling needs of employees with varied levels of expertise, skill sets and job roles.

Initial Skills Assessment:

Once we received the training requirement from the customer, CloudThat team did a pre-training skill assessment of participants to understand their current level of cloud knowledge and skills.

Custom Upskilling Program:

As per the assessment outcome, CloudThat’s expert trainers curated a targeted certification specific upskilling program on GCP and Azure which was aligned with the customer’s business objectives and project requirements.

Training Delivery:

The training was then delivered by highly experienced certified in-house trainers.

Assessing Learners’ Progress:

Throughout the training, we tracked the learner's progress through weekly assessments and reported the outcomes to the stakeholder. This provided a detailed understanding of the knowledge intake capacity of the learners and their progress which helped us plan the future sessions to make it e ective. CloudThat team also maintained a global leaderboard to store learner's metrics during the training. While toppers were rewarded, learners at the bottom were given extra sessions to cover up the learning gap.
